His name is Alex. He's in my grade and goes to the same school as me. Even though I didn't talk to him much, this is still shocking because things like that never happen in my area.

There was a facebook RIP page for him but it was taken down because it got overrun by 4chan trolls.

While I question how legitimate the source is, I think it was great. It's a proven fact that if someone who points a gun at you wants to kill you, they're going to kill you. You don't call someone a pussy and make them suddenly jump to murder, but on the other hand his father might have gotten mad, dropped the gun, and ran up to beat the shit out of him.
