Remember a movie that you thought was good when you saw it, only to find out that it didn't get the recognition that it deserved?
Pic related, it was a great animated film. I got on VHS a long time ago, maybe year after it premiered.
It actually has Christian Bale in it, and I didn't even know this until I watched it for like the 50th time.
It is called something different in like 4 different countries.

Yeah i own that. very nice art in that movie.
"Sea of Love" and "Murder by Death" are very underrated in my opinion. Also so is "Capote".
great acting in this movie, love it
There was a movie from the 90's that I watched a year ago, and it involved a group of 20-something year olds getting attacked by a group of three murderers, and it was a pretty fucked up, awesome movie. At one point, two of the "good" guys ran away and got caught up to by one of the murderers, and he kills the first one in front of the second one, then shows up at the group of the rest of the good guys (who are captured and tied up) with the second guy's face tied onto his like a mask. It's a pretty awesome movie.
Various movies I had as a kid on VHS. I can remember the plots and the like, but none of their names.

That is the Devils Rejects, and It's from like five years ago.

There's a low budget film called Pi that's pretty amazing, by Darren Aronofsky, well worth it if you like dark, weird films.
If you want a tour de force on pure acting, check out Glengarry Glen Roth, got Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Keven Spacey, Ed Harris, very wordy, but very good.

And it got ripped from his hands and he has since disowned the official Miramax version for ruining his vision.
You've probably never even seen it, Disney released a very similar movie (Aladdin) and it was written off as a rip off.
Still kind of was, wonderful animation aside.
My choice for underrated film, and you may mock me, is Batman Forever.
I find it loads better than Batman Returns, and I actually think the filthy neon-lit version of Gotham works very well. Al the actors aside from Tommy Lee Jones fit their characters pretty well, and you can tell just by watching that all of them had a blast working on it. Plus the story and the plot are actually pretty psychological, something many people tend to forget or ignore. Commercial success back in the day aside, this film is today vastly unappreciated in regards to the Burton/Schumacher series as a whole.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
You don't even want to know
I've seen a gigantic amount of great movies that have not gotten the hype they deserved. A lot of my favorite movies are very underrated.

I couldn't even finish watching Sucker Punch. It was so freaking lame. This is coming from a guy who likes to watch dumb action movies.

I thought it was deeper then what it was giving off at face value.

Home Alone 3 and Bebe's Kids.
The reason why bebe's kids had a low rating is because people were picking on the racism. And Home Alone 3 had a different kid but still, at least it's better than the 4th movie.

I loved "Sucker Punch." If you pay attention closely you can find it's "deepness."

From the top half of your picture I thought it was Treasure Planet. Also, Treasure Planet
Once upon a time, I had a study skills class on the personalities of these characters.
I'm glad I stayed awake.
Event Horizon was a fantastic movie that I'm not sure got much attention. To this day I can't understand the hate for Howard The Duck, I loved it as a kid and went back not long ago and watched it on netflix and it's still awesome.
I'm back, I guess.

I can DEFINITELY understand the hate for that movie. But it was the way they portrayed Howard. I enjoyed the comics marvel made.
Also, DUCK TITS, a woah oh!
When I was a kid I used to fucking love this film about an alien robot suit that some kid has to climb into and save Earth.
It could well suck but I've never seen it since.

You call 28 days underrated? this movie brought the birth of a new type of zombie and probably gave inspiration to Left 4 Dead.
