2-3 cigarettes per day? I don't think it will affect you much if you continue to keep fit everyday, for sports that involve running it might become problematic but there's more to sports than football, tennis, etc. Golfers can smoke, darts players, bowlers and maybe even rowers such as yourself (when kept in moderation, don't go smoking a pack a day).
