I usually introduce myself using my middle name. It was something I started in Jr. High because I didn't like the name Leo or Leonardo. Now that I reflect on that, I kinds think that was dumb, so I'm planning on not doing it anymore.
Anyone else go by their middle name? Why?
My father goes by his middle name because his first is the same as his father's first, and since they work in the same place, both of them being referred to by the same name could get confusing.
I usually only do it when I really don't trust someone enough for them to know me.
I never considered using my middle name, it feels to formal for my taste.

I always go by my first name, except here, where my middle name is also my username.
Yes. | EJR sucks!
I used to go by my middle name because I wasn't happy with my first name, I got really irritated of Star Wars jokes whenever somebody met me, or when a friend would call me Skywalker.
But I got over it, and realized my first name is actually pretty awesome, and good thing too... I was going to legally change my names around, but then I ended up going to school with two kids in the same grade and same class (grades seven and eight) with the same name.
There would have been three of us, and that would have been very irritating.

How is "Victor" Viking related in the slightest? It's not even a Norse name.
Also, i always go by my first name. "Scott" is quicker to say, easier to write and spell than "Russell", and I would never go by my last name cause I'm not a douche.

Maybe went out on a limb but when I stopped to think for a moment my first name is literally the Swedish word for bear and is more of a viking name thanks for correcting me my good sir.
I go by my middle name, because that's what my parents have always called me.

Originally, my name was to be Logan Samuel but my dad said "Fuck you" to my mom and demanded they be swapped. So I am Samuel Logan. That's about it.
When I was in first grade a girl did that for like two months. I remember thinking it was weird. Other than that happening forever ago I haven't really heard of anyone doing that.

My middle name is kind of a secret. It's the same name as my father's first name, and I would feel kinda weird if my friends or colleagues would adress me by my father's name.

I have the same first, middle, and last (of course) name as my father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
I dunno, I think it's kinda cool to be the IV, but I was never really proud of my middle name. I mean, I don't hate it or anything, it just doesn't seem very proper. "Joe"?
I used to use it in arcade machines for high scores because it fit, but otherwise I don't use it. Although my best friend often refers to me as "Joe". And most of my family usually prefers using the nickname "JJ", hence my original username. Nah, I'd stick with using "Johnny", I think that it's a decent name to go by.
Kinda like a 50's gangster...

So sorry for being communist or something?
I've been going by my middle name (Andrew) for as long as I can remember. I justify it by saying that my first name (William) is gay.

I went entirely by one of my middle names for the whole 5 years of secondary school simply because having to correct people every single time I introduce myself can get infuriating. I just accept it now, but it didn't seem so strange because both my parents and my mothers parents go by their middle names.
Neither my parents, nor my grandparents, nor their parents are/were religious. So nope, I do not have a middle name.

Elvin> Elbert. Seriously, elbert sounds like a character from sesame street.
