4.21 / 5.00 14,668 ViewsIt's been awhile since I was last on this site, and I've got to say, I like the update!
Also, my other topic is probably buried deep in the receses of this place, so I'm thinking a clean slate is a good idea. Going to hopefully keep up with the daily doodle thing I've got up in the subject. Going to have to whip myself into art-shape if I'm going to grow as an artist!
Day 1. I call it, Negative Space
good start good start!
I like it man, keep it up.
Very nice, I enjoy the shades and proportion, It all looks very interesting. Hope to be seeing more from you!
chronic masterbaition!
Ah, this is great. I love how his body gradiates into grayness towards hte bottom, whereas the contrast is much more stark at the top. Plus, demonsss<3
Thanks guys! Loving the feedback here!
I was playing some Minecraft, and realized that I never drew any fan art of it at all, not even my own character! So, I'm hoping to make an awesome background to accompany this, but eh, I'll do it later :p
2. These are my ADVENTURE PANTS!

haha nice
the coloring is the strongest point
Thanks ^^ I don't usually use this shading style because I got it from a tutorial, I've been meaning to make my own unique style of shading, but so far, I don't have anything concrete...
Well, didn't post anything yesterday, which is exactly why this is a "Semi-daily" doodle xD
Day 4. Umm, seeing how to make an angry/snarly dude

i like your linework

I'll be sure to look into that, and thanks!
Day 5. It was either this or something really, REALLY, ugly... arrows point to areas in question/stuff I need to work on
Hahahaa ^^;
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE DATE, I SWEAR I WASN'T NOT HERE FOR LIKE, 4 MONTHS
In other news.... Mass Effect 3! Referenced two images, doodled the rest
Theres also this ODST I referenced off of some concept art for Halo. Concept art always looks so damn nice, very sketchy, and loose, yet very planned and complete. Personally I think the only good part is the Battle Rifle's strap.

I think you should render it all the way maybe.

Umm, as in shade + make awesome? Nahhh...
Anyway, had to draw a fameous person's bust in Italian class today, and Michelangelo was a pretty pimpin' dude, so here he is in his pimpin' glory
Great stuff!!!
I like it all :)

Alright, well, I can either go on a massive art dumping spree from my art classes I'm taking, or I can just post some quality doodles... If anyone wants to see the stuff I made for my classes, just said the word!

You have excellent structure in your images, what you draw looks solid, not 2-d. I'd like to see less dragons and inhuman faces and heads and more variety though.
Thoughts in chaos...

Thanks, what do you mean though, more humans / figures, or more abstract stuff? I've got a bunch of still lives / contours from classes I could post, if that's what you mean
Well, time for some variety, or something among those means...
Some doodles of my dog, and some random girls face from my web design class...
For art class we had to make a doodle / sketch for getting a better concept of foreshortening, I thought it came out fairly well
I should probably update this some mooooore....
(And doodle alot more....)
Um, here's a contour of a horse statue I made in my drawing class awhile ago, I think it looks interesting
I like this pencil stuff a lot more than all those dragons personally, those last two sketches are quite interesting.

Well, theres plenty more where that came from... Like this hue drawing!
Thanks, to you and Amaranthus!
Decided to study horns, and how they connect to animal's heads... lead me to draw a couple goats, and a goat skull!
Goats have some pretty intense horns o3o
Here's the link to a high res pic if it's too hard to see

A quick sketch for a friend on steam, wanted me to draw Aril, a forgotten beast from Dwarf Fortress. It was a skinless cobra with wings appearently, sounded fairly awesome.
Link to bigger if picture is too small

Great stuff, I also enjoy scribbling animals. How about you show us some colors?

I really should, but I'm terrible with coloring... :I
I think its more important to get a solid base with drawing, then I'll worry about painting / coloring?
Unless someone wants to dump a bunch of tutorials or something, that'd be appreciated!
And, heres some horse study and a dinosaurs face. I was going to try to incorperate the abs / front section of the horse into my dragons, but its way too stiff looking!
First serious still life with charcoal, I tried for a sketchier look, because smearing is for squares
Another charcoal drawing, this time with midtoned paper, and white chalk
I'm actually fairly proud of this one...
