Why is it that women cockblock their friends so often?

Most of us have seen it in action. At some kind of gathering like a party or dance a girl comes with a few friends. But to be serious for a second, a group of girls may just want to go to a party to have fun within their group of friends, and when one of them starts ignoring the group in favour of some random guy (who they could talk to, or someone like him, at any time) it is probably a bit of a piss off. Probably because most of times (as someone mentioned before me) they see that their friends are drunk of their asses, and draw the conclusion that for an example "Hannah isn't in the best state of mind right now to be hooking up with strangers".
