It's a very good Anime. One of my favorite's. I would not call it obscure though, new, yes but not obscure.

almost no one knows Gakuen Alice, DNA^2 gets most of its American fanbase from Newgrounds (refer to Simgirls) and the others are somewhat more obscure than Angel Beats.

Then I guess Saint Seiya is obscure as well since the only time the series made an appearance in the American television, it got cancelled after 36 episodes due to shitty efforts by DiC. Doraemon's pretty unknown in the U.S. as well so it's really obscure, I mean no one heard of it despite being a pop culture icon in Asia.

With that said, I have a question when it comes to a series I saw.

Is "Shurato" obscure? I mean the only reason why I remember it was because my memory was jogged due to Saint Seiya. The series was made in a attempt to cash in on the success of Saint Seiya and after that it's hardly ever mentioned on anime discussion.

Was the series obscured?

It's hard to know for certain.

It is one of the first anime series I saw and while it may not be great but I still enjoy it. It's pretty dated now but still, gotta love a show with men in armors fighting (and one token female).
