That's something to do with the operating systems.. or colors..
To me your icon looks correct, but if I go on my other computer I can see what you mean.
I don't know if there is a way to fix this problem.

He's saying that my background is darker then the real background and so its not a true color match

I say that its a match... when I flip my screen up and down I see that his stuff is ever so minorly darker then mine...

I have 3 screens telling me my shit is spot on...

Are you telling me that a 600$ device
a 70$ screen
and a 900$ device are ALL malfunctioning? ??? O.o

There seems to be a lot of debate going on here.

Tox, cool your jets man. To me, your icon looks correct as well.
But there have been users with the same problems.

I had an earlier user provide a picture from his computer, and you can see that it sometimes can be darker.
For me, I do not see any icons, whether they are fixed or not, have any difference, on my laptop.
However, if I go onto my desktop computer, a windows xp, the icons appear like how they are in this picture.

It's nothing more then a minor issue and leads me to believe it depends on your operating system, its setting of colors and whatnot. You can have multiple screens, but they would all share the same basic palette, since they are using your computer's color settings.
