And MW3 doesn't, literally right after launch people were encountering so many lag issues it took a cocking 5 patches to fix them all http://community.callofduty.com/message/
I won't talk about gameplay because that's rather subjective but MW to me has never been above average rank, much better multiplayer games have been made with 1/4 as much marketing, hype and money behind it. MW3 practically went up and got immediately killed by Skyrim and Counter Strike moments after it hit PC http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ with the wails of SPUF coming soon after. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/sh owthread.php?t=2524674
They do improve the games, but for the online multiplayer mostly. So they fix bugs, consider critics and try to make the game more enjoyable for the players. Plus, the games do not feel all the same. They are all FPS games, but they all feel different. Black Ops took part during the Cold War, the MW games take place in modern times. WaW was during the 2nd World War. The weapons are different... implying that the feeling of the weapons is also different, the perks are different, game physics change two... and list goes on.
I know what you mean when you say that "it stays the same". It is always Call Of Duty. But they keep the game fresh with new games, new maps, new weapons, new everything, while keeping it a cod game...
In my opinion. If COD will become any better is a reboot. Which will probably will be the only change in the COD franchise.

Shake your head, punch him the vagina, and go enjoy Battlefield or Skyrim.
An opinion is an opinion, if your friend believes that let him. He obviously feels that way while others feel the exact opposite and this is true with almost everything in life.
Also I wouldn't call him brainwashed because I could say the same about the CoD haters.
Personally I don't think CoD is worth the retail price they charge, hell Black Ops is still around $60 even though it's old and MW3 has been released. They are decent games in my opinion and I would by them for the right price.
Yeah OP, I agree. You're friend is having way too much fun. That needs to stop this instant.
Lets face it. This isn't making any progress.
What problem can you possibly have with someone enjoying a video game that you don't? It's just pathetic really. Leave people to have their fun. There are enough people still willing to pay full retail price for CoD games, so they clearly haven't lost interest in them or think they're awful just yet.
