That analogy is horrible, because it's much more complex than a simple change such as a haircut. This is a complete makeover.

The only type of analogy that could even compare to such a drastic change would be similar to a heavy increase in makeup, and/or plastic surgery. It's getting overhauled, not manicured.

Nah, they're actually fairly competent as far as the actual security goes; the worst I've heard of that happened there was some guy jacking cookies, which I guess is why the system of cookies they use is so weird now. The mod hacks and shit (although those were after my time) were just phishing, as far as I ever heard.

Their problem, at least as far as I saw ~back in the day~, is that they generally don't make sure the input is going to play well on the page, so you can do things like this and apparently break the portal page completely for IE users.

As long as the feel is about the same, the typical gritty feel and orange/greyish, I'm happy.

This will be the second redesign I've been here for. I don't even remember what the site looked like before this one.

As for the redesign, whatever. Please don't be too bright, that would ruin half the reason that I visit Newgrounds so compulsively in the first place.

I came to Newgrounds a few months after this current design had come. Newgrounds has always looked like this to me, and the only thing I know of the old Newgrounds design comes from various pictures I've seen on the BBS. Anyway, seeing Newgrounds change for the first time since I've been here all these years will be quite the change, but I'm sure it'll be magnificent nonetheless. You shall be missed current Newgrounds, but you shall not die in vain.
