My document is set to 1600% zoom and 72dpi, and i draw with the pencil tool at 1 px. But when I draw, there are white lines between the pixels. Is this normal? I don't think it is base on screenshots on tutorials... And also, how do you draw straight lines?

Yes it's called a grid. It doesn't actually show up in the final image. It's just there to help.
And also, how do you draw straight lines?
Hold shift while drawing.
"I need a katana to slice a banana"
I'm not sure why you are getting white lines.
Make sure you don't have your grid turned on.

I tried the settings you mentioned, but I got no white lines in the program or in the output
As for straight lines. Hold SHIFT while drawing.

Yeah your right, definitively the grid, although somehow this guy's settings got set to a white Grid and set to 1 pixel instead of the default of 1 inch
Thank! it was the grid!
But I wanted to know how to draw easy diagonal straight lines.
Also, what do you guys use to quickly erase stuff?

No, it's just a preview thing that photoshop does when you zoom in that far.

Well you can click down one point and then hold shift and click where you want the end to be and it will make a line between the two points.
Downside is unless you get it just right, it won't look very good.

Select your eraser tool, and go up to where it has the modes and select block or pencil. These will work much better than the brush eraser for deleting.

huh, I tried and couldn't get it to happen. Perhaps it is a thing in the newer versions of Photoshop.
I'm pretty sure you can turn off the pixellines via edit - preferences , it should be in one of the menus. Diagonal lines for pixelart are usually best drawn manually, for very long lines you could try drawing part of it and then copypasting that
