Thread has a picture included or doesn't it matter?
This is almost a poll, but we'll discuss why we're more likely to reply to a thread with a picture in it vs one that doesn't, or vice versa.
I, for one, tend to post more if an OP starts out with a picture. It's got to do something with how pictures are asthetically pleasing to look at.
Your thoughts on the matter?
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

The pic in my thread wasn't really aesthetically pleasing to look at, right?
But no, i'm not more prone to reply if there is a picture in the OP. I reply if there comes something to mind that i want to say.

I've been here like 7 years now and still got less than 2k posts, haha, most threads are pretty easy for me to overlook and not post it, but the ones that I do take an interest in usually gotta have a bunch of replies and have a good atmosphere for conversation, or debate or whatever.
So nah, pictures don't usually change my mind on posting or not.
All Eyez On Me.
It depends. If someone is talking about a situation with their girlfriend, for instance, and then they post a picture of their girlfriend, it really doesn't add anything. However, if someone is talking about a technical difficulty they're having and then post a screenshot, then the picture is more relevant and helps repliers respond in a more relevant fashion. If I feel a thread should have a picture, I'm more likely to respond if it does have one. But otherwise, no preference.
Nope. Purely on whether it is entertaining or not.

As someone who faps to just plain raw text, a picture is a total turn-off for me and I therefore cannot stand going to threads that have photos in the opening post.

It doesn't really matter whether there's a picture in the thread or not, because I'll end up either replying to the OP or to other people; images being present are only optional, as it makes no difference.

Doesn't matter either way. The only time I kind of refrain from posting in a thread is if it already has 2 or 3+ pages of heated debate on whatever the OP entailed. At that point it's rather pointless to respond to the OP when the thread has already taken off and on the other hand it's pretty hard to get in on the conversation taking place. At least for me it is.

Isn't it though? I was thinking the same thing.
Usually I'm less likely to post if there's a picture UNLESS the picture is very relevant. Like if you're posting about getting some injury and you include the picture sure I'll post. If you include a picture of something random to that I'll just think you're a tard and move along most likely.
No pics please.
