Testing an Air project w emulator Jan. 29th, 2012 @ 11:43 AM Reply

Hi,

I've a standard as3 project im developing in FlashDevelop.

I wish to test it out on a android system (something like a Galaxy S2.

I have the Andriod SDK tools installed.

Has anybody found good tutorials on viewing your app on a virtual mobile emulated display on your PC?

You can do that straight from Flash Builder I believe. If you go Run > Profile it should prompt you to run on device or an emulator. Or is that not what you meant?

Sorry man, I totally read "Flash Develop" as Flash Builder for some reason! Anyway if you're student or unemployed you can get Flash Build for free.

If you don't want to go down that route you'll have to use ADB to install your app on the emulator. However, this tutorial says you can download apps that are available directly online, so you might be able to host your apk somewhere or use a service like The Beta Family instead.
