Ok guys. So i've just finished painting my room white. and tomorrow i'm going to paint like a city skyline silhouette in black across all the walls. So far i'm putting some common world famous buildings in there, and the NG skyline. I'm looking for some more genuine ideas to cover all my walls. Any ideas or designs are welcome.

The Newgrounds skyline would be the best, I'd marry you just to sleep in your bedroom.
or you could paint it green

Haha. I'll be sure to upload pics once i've done. Hopefully it'll look great. I'll do the NG skyline bit just behind my desk.

You should take different city silhouettes from different parts of the world. Like Skyscrapers, castles, halls, and maybe even those creepy jails. I think It would look iconic if you had all the wonderful builing shapes on one wall....
But that's just me.... maybe you just want a bunch of suburban homes or just rectangles with little yellow windows inside....

Are the buildings going to be close enough to see the windows, or is it going to be a far off view from about a mile away.
I don't want it to be too far, because I'd obviously have to do more buildings, and I don't want to be painting more than a day really.
Please please please provide pictures when you finish this.
I will!

Also if the background is white you could add a red circle near Godzilla, like the rising-sun Japanese flag.

What do ya think? It took me nearly 4 days to do the whole room. A day to empty it and paint it 3 layers of white. Another to draw on the skyline around the whole room. Another to paint the black, and another to put everything back and mount some new furniture!

You should have done it in orange rather than white............. Or like an orange variation rainbow.
Or even dark blue with stars and shooting stars as if it were night time........and a moon............You should have done that. White is just too plain. You can re do it maybe?

I think it looks really nice. The white skyline rather than an orange one was a good choice in my opinion.

I was thinking that too, but I was wary to post it.. It still looks good in a minimalistic way, and it's more of a tribute to Newgrounds without being a total shrine or Newgrounds. I'm just thinking some kind of gradient would be nice, even if it's just a gray smog over the city. Monochrome can work.

I frankly like me idea of the night sky in dark blue with stars and a moon and shooting stars, that would be good......

Your idea's good. I think it would look nice both in orange and in blue. But i'd never attempted anything like this before, so i didn't wanna mess it up, so i kept it simple. Also, my room was like a horrible peach colour before, and it was always dim in here, so i wanted white to brighten the room up. I suppose i could still add a moon and a few stars and stuff in.

White would not be a suitable colour to fit in with moons and stars ect. Blue is the only solution......

If you're worth anything at painting, why not paint in a city's view at night rather than a silhouette? Shade the buildings, add some depth, maybe a lake view, some dark clouds with gorgeous colors coming from the sun setting at the bottom, with a moon vaguely visible in the sky. What you've mentioned could be done with two cans of spray paint.

Blue would look good if it was a gradient - light to darker as it rises, but that means more paints and mixing. I was just keeping it basic and on a small a budget as possible.

I've done some painting on canvas, but never attempted anything on a large scale on a wall, or even with spray paints, so i wouldn't trust myself to try it on my bedroom wall first. plus, i wanted to keep the bottom half of the silhouette quite basic because most of the black is covered by desk, bed, etc....

That's actually pretty sweet. Definitely beats bland, single colour walls. Rather than keep the top half as just plain white, I reckon it might be good to give it some colour. Something light, just not plain white. Would be pretty cool if you went for one of the Newgrounds' shades of yellow.

I just realized that with the new redesign your room might become a relic of Newground's past.

I would say the gradient would derive from the city lights and thus that would create the mood. Like an ominous glow that radiates from the city.
