Just chips and dip for me. Hot wings would be nice but I'm sure every store would be sold out of them by now.

Well, I love football but I am more of a fan of college football above all else (Go Auburn). Anyways, I wish the Panthers would have made it to the Superbowl because of Cam. My money is on the Pats for the matchup though.

I'm sure you could still find them, at least the chips depending which you prefer.

Can sumone explain how that was a safty after he released the ball in the end zone? Are they making up rules on the spot for the sake of the Bowl ?

Intentional Grounding is like a sack. Since it occurred in the endzone it is treated like he was sacked in the endzone which would result in a Safety.

I feared something like this would happen, c'mon Giants.

Well, it has been a close game so far, and I wouldn't expect anything different from the second half. both teams managed to move the ball well, but can't really get to the end zone that much, and considering the 30 minute halftime show, I would think that they would try and fix that, and maybe pull off a surprise play or 2.

Good news for Giants fans, in their first Super Bowl, they were down 10-9 at halftime to the Denver Broncos, only to turn it around in the second half and win the game. It'll be interesting if history does repeat itself here or not.

However the difference is that the 1986 team had LT and Harry Carson.

I was pretty much speechless in the last 2 minutes or so, and when Bradshaw stumbled in the end zone for the GW touchdown, I thought it was game over for the Pats, even with some time left on the clock and a timeout left. I know for certain that no one will be doubting Eli Manning ever again, now that he has won a 2nd ring against the very same team he beat 4 years ago.

Do you think it would be safe to mention Eli's name in New England?

I'm sure in some context, e.g,, "fuck Eli Manning"/

I dare say that Eli Manning has replaced Bucky Dent in terms of being the most hated athlete in New England. Saying Eli's name in Boston in a positive light would be like saying something positive about Albert Pujols in St. Louis when he left for the Angels, it certainly will not end well.

That reminds me, Jessie Armstead works for the Giants as a consultant and is a part of the front office. He will finally get a ring as well.
