Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy are playable characters. :3 I can't wait for this game, Resident Evil 4 was awesome and Resident Evil 5, whilst less horror-based like the article reads, was a sick a fuarkkk game I blasted with my friends on co-op several times. I can only hope that Resident Evil 6 has co-op too, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEE.

Yeah, that's kind of what Capcom does with their franchises. They whore them out until the popularity starts to wane then they back off for a couple years before releasing a new reimagined edition to start the cycle over again.

But yeah, I'm not sick of this cycle of Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 5 was a blast to play through with a friend. The action was tight, the story was hilariously batshit insane, the bosses were big and ugly, and it was just an overall fun game. Can't wait for a bigger version with more characters, more locations, and a slightly stronger focus on tense and suspenseful moments. I' guessing something more along the lines of the Lost in Nightmares DLC.

Well I wouldn't be too happy if it was just a rehashed Resi 5. It wasn't bad, in fact it was a good game overall, but when you consider it came from Resi 4, one of the best games ever, it just wasn't good enough. Still hoping this is a great game, happy Leon is in this one.

What happens in RE6 in a nutshell :
Takes place around the world in Canada, the United States, and China. You also go back to the village in RE4.
You play as Chris, Leon, and Ada, as well as a few more characters.
Shooting while moving. About time.
More horror and Lost In Nightmares oriented than an action movie flick.
Zombies. The President of the United States becomes a zombie apparently.
A new playable character as a man, apparently borrows from the movie's plot by having his blood be the cure for the virus?

I'm really loving the new grimdark feel it has and the zombies. Brings back horror, plot, and action in a neat package in a story all around the world.

Definitely pre ordering next time I head to a gamestop.

I'm really hoping for coop as it didn't look like there was any from the trailer. Either way, it looks like I have to change my newly creamed pants from hearing the news. Can't wait.

Trailers looks pretty much like what I expected RE5 to be, really intense action and trying to fight of a literal horde of enemies at once. It looked a little too much like Gears with the cover combat for my liking but who gives a shit, if it's half as fun as RE4 it'll probably be GoTY 2012. I kind of hope there's separate co op and singleplayer campaigns (notice how during gameplay Leon appeared to be alone, while Chris and that new(?) guy had companions) rather than being forced into one or the other, but after seeing that trailer I really don't care, it looks like a blast either way. I want this game now.

Because sliding is a flabbergasting superhuman ability. There's not a lot in the trailer that's too over the top, especially not for Resident Evil.

Looks good, though it's not for any system I have, I'm interested in the Jill situation. If I recall correctly she wasn't in RE5, and Resident Evil: Revelations (which comes out on February 6th) takes place before RE5.

Anything could happen to Jill in Resilations, so keep that in mind.

I'm excited for this game especially after seeing the teaser. A lot of people are talking about it and how there were examples of RE4/RE5 gameplay as well as the original type gameplay(RE 1 etc). Lot of people think the alternative stories will each have its own gameplay(IE Leon's could be the traditional RE style while Chris' could be like RE5).

Best of both worlds for me if this is true.
