Probably need to live in that fear and disdain. We cannot, should not, and must not allow governing officials to shut down sites due to copyright infringement and piracy. Megaupload's incidence should be looked more as a wake-up call rather just than "Oh well."
We all have a website we go to regularly. I can guess that not a one of them is free of copyright material. Be that a picture posted on a bulletin board system, or lyrics to a song.
What irks me is that they're shutting down sites due to a loss of money from someone else. Are other people not allowed to make money? I understand artists wanting to protect their businesses, but it's too great of a price. They could cause a great collapse. Could cause many businesses to fall, take damage, and push people out of employment. And if everyone's poor, who's gonna buy their music?
Greed is really going to fuck up this country. Too many people looking at self interest.
