And its such a double standard, you criticize Australia for banning a few violent video games and say that its a 'police state' and everything, but when people in the U.S get close to passing SOPA the U.S government is too almighty to be criticized?
Just chillin'
I haven't noticed a lack of criticism, you tool.
Oh look. SOPA thread #12372852868237546
I think we should talk about SOPA ITT

Well actually I'm trying to talk about the double standard of how we can't criticize U.S politicians for being complete fucking morons but we can criticize Australia for being a 'police state' over banning some violent vidya
Of course one person decided to call me a tool and another person ignored me and acted as if this was just another generic SOPA thread
That's the internet for you.

Oops I posted on my other account and now you all know that Saren is my alt. The secret is out.
Honestly if this thread was serious I would have posted it on this account. I just didn't want to post it on this account because people would just think badly of me.

What? People are constantly criticizing the U.S. on the Ng BBS. Everything from stereotypes (fat, loud, obnoxious, hicks, gun-loving, etc), the government, using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, not using the metric system as primary measuring units, American politics and laws, the American people in general, and more. It's very popular here to criticize Americans and the U.S.
I think because you're from Australia, you may be a bit more focused on any criticism towards your country. Fair enough, as I and others on here probably do the same thing. I don't feel Australia receives more criticism than the U.S. on here, though, especially when related to the government.
Boop boop beep boop.
SOPA hasn't been covered at all in the media except for today, that's why people haven't heard about it much. The only person that I've actually seen speaking against SOPA is Ron Paul
ahaha quit typing pirating ass zeek!
The American government/1% are going stale due to the Occupy movement, it's finances are going bad due to theses protests, if you have learned how did the Egyptian revolution managed to throw off Mubarak was due to contacting via Internet, spreading ideas and plans on MSN and Facebook which in the end succeeded, Republican Lamar S. Smith has feared that the government will go down and planned to make a project that would decrease the influence of any riot of America: SOPA; A project in the guise of stopping piracy and in favor of Hollywood, MPAA and the RIAA, when the true concept was to cut down major internet businesses that has mainly to do with social contacting, only to keep us with whats shown on TV and only on TV, which is limited in comparison to the Internet, they also plan to stop any riots over it if SOPA passes with the NDAA intact, and laws that are similar to countries like Iran, learn to speak out loud before it's too late.
Emphasis are great!

Yeah, but it's one of the very few ones that addresses the root of symptoms such as SOPA instead of thrashing the bill itself as if it were some sort of one-off demon.
I'd say to indulge it a little. And I could post something meaningful, but I won't. Suffice to say that computer enthusiasts usually don't go into politics.
