The hide movie/game button does help me at times, particularly with submissions where sound is played automatically. I like to start the submissions whenever I want to providing no sounds are played right away.

I use the hide movie button very often but I only use the pop-up on a laptop when the screen is too small.

i use the pop up window especially if its for a game

if the game controls are also the controls that make text bigger or scroll down or something then it can be unplayable without pop up mode

also if you play in pop up mode there is no browser tool bars which means there is more space

i am to lazy to turn off tool bars

I don't ever use the pop up button. I almost completely forgot it was there...

Also, do you ever use the button to "Hide Movie" or "Hide Game"?

I always use that though.

I use pop-up almost all the time. For a while I cared about the medals so I switched to the new layout, but it was harder to quick-vote.

I don't open the pop-up
But I use the hide one when it plays music or something really loud and it's faster to do that than go down and turn the sound down

I regularly use the 'hide movie' button, but rarely do I use the 'open in new window'.. in fact I'd say I never use it.
I remember when the 2007 redesign came around I used to always open them in a new window though, just because that's how it used to be.. but that didnt last long haha

Only using the Hide-button. Which in fact is useful.

Sometimes I use the Pop-Up window. However I do use the Hide Movie button after watching a movie or playing a game so I can write the review.

The Hide Button is also useful if an advertisement starts playing over the sound of the movie or game so you can just click Hide Movie, then reopen it. Saves from having to reload the entire page.

The only probelm with the popout is that it should have a fullscreen feature. Cause some of the movies/games should be expaned, but because of screen limitations one the browser it's harder to see it. I dunno. That and maybe we need a popout feature for the audioplayer, something like a playlist builder ;P

I find that very useful for if I want to keep the page open but I dont want to hear the flash, because some flashes can be really noisy and I might want to write a flash or leave my computer for awhile and then come back and play it.

I've used the 'view in pop-up' feature mainly when the flash is too large to view without scrolling, which can can be a pain on this old machine. I've never really seen any improvement in performance when I've done so.

As for the 'hide movie' feature, I think I've used that precisely once. Perhaps I should remember to use it more often.

I only use the pop-up function. I hate it when the rest of my screen dims and locks out the other site functions. Sure, you need full focus on the content that's displayed but I just don't like it. Perhaps I'm too old school.

I only watch movies or play games in pop-up, I never use the other link. I don't know why, maybe I'm just old fashioned.

I've been using the pop-up window option while playing/watching certain flashes. For example, during Google+ Hangouts, there's a screen share option that allows you to share the screen of certain windows on your computer. By selecting the NG pop-up option, I've been able to watch flashes with others in the hangout together as the audio and visuals sync up for everyone. It's more or less allowed me to stream NG content while being in a Google+ room.

I almost always use the pop-up option, probably because it doesn't have any toolbars on it so games or movies that are a bit larger will fit without hitting F11. Any partially out of habit, since I think, way back, the only way to view anything was with a popup.

I've used the Hide option once, noticed it doesn't pause the flash and resume where you left off when you Show it again, and then never again.

I've never used the hide movie feature, if I want the swf to stop I just right click and hit play so it stops playing.
I used to use the pop-up window fairly often, but for purposes I would probably get in trouble for

I use the little X button to stop the flash/game if I am done with it so I can more easily move onto the forums or to another page.

The expand and moon buttons are fantastic as well.

Also HAI TOM!

Occasionally I switch back to classic mode just for Nostalgia purposes but most of the time I'll just use the regular layout.

For some reason I also did find a few bugs when using the use popup window.

No, I don't usually use it, I mostly just use the feature to disable all the links and what not so I don't accidently click a link or something while playing a game.
