Today, at approximately 6PM (CST) [approx. an hour or so after I posted the post featured in the image, but it's not what I got in trouble for], I received a knock on my door.

I opened it rather reluctantly, as I peeked out my blinds and saw the cop car. The cop asks me something rather strange, "Do you post as SKHM on the website newgrounds.com?". I nearly shit a brick. I can't believe Wade really contacted the authorities on me.

I start to cry and immediately tell him I was just joking and I've never really posted anything serious on the internet.

He tells me to calm down, and tells me that no action has been taken against me, yet. I stabilize a little at this point. He looks at me, directly in my eyes, and says with no hint of anger, "If you were my son, I would beat your ass until you wound up in the hospital". I took a huge gulp of air. He was very intimidating. He tells me they will go through some motions and that later they might take my PC away from me and charge me under some internet crime law. He left shortly after. It didn't last long, but I'm still trembling from the experience. It really shook me.

This might be my last post ever online. I just want you all to know that I am sorry.

I really cherish the internet and I took things a little too far. I hope they give me a chance to calm down before they ban me from having access to computers.

I never meant to hurt anyone. I love Newgrounds.

Please learn from me, guys. Don't try to take jokes too far or think you are "above" the law.

I've done that for real though and a cop never contacted me.

I had been sitting around bein' a nerd (was continuing my reading of The Hunger Games after a full day marathon of Parks and Recreation) when Andrew called me today around 5:00 pm EST, GMT -5. For those not in "the know", Andrew and I have been close personal friends for many a year -- thick as thieves, we are! I had met the person who would go on to become one of my closest friends of all time during his brief interactions with the Newgrounds Flash animation group, the Clock Crew. Ya' see, around the time that SKHM began to post on the Clock Crew's web forums, I was still what is considered "fresh meat," or, in the Clock lexicon, "a fresh-ass burg"... I didn't have very many friends. That is, until I sent Andrew, A.K.A. Aborted Fetus Clock, a Private Message over the forums. Before I knew it, we had become fast friends.
Anyways, that's just a quick little explanation for my friendship with Andrew.

When he called me today, I could tell instantly that he was quite shaken up. The concerned friend that I was, I immediately inquired into his situation: was my good friend Andy okay?! He related the story to me in weak utterances, dropping the phone several times from his badly trembling hands several times over the duration of our conversation. More and more, I could not believe my ears... could judgement have truly been passed by Wade Fulp? After so much antagonism?
Needless to say, since receiving this phone call from a person so close to my heart, I've been deep in thought. This story really, truly hit home with me. Now that I've gathered my thoughts, I would just like to say that the point of the post is this: Don't get too big for your britches. Yeah, you heard me right, cowboy! The internet, like any tool, may be used for the purposes of good... or the purposes of evil. Just because you are free to hide behind a cyber-veil of anonymity does not mean you are free to do just as you please... not by a long shot! Treat others with respect and kindness, take what you say seriously, never, EVER, make false accusations or threats, and remember that the government is watching every post that is made on the Internet, vigilantly searching for America's next threat.
