That's how I got here.

Actually only the frontpage of Newgrounds is blocked, the rest of the pages are accessible.

The mobile version is completely accessible even.

I think the partial blackout is more than ok. There are many sites that would be affected by SOPA which don't participate at all.

I guess I'm a "tard," then. I only found out that the rest of the site was accessible was when I habitually clicked a link on Google. :P

Has the government gone mad? If they're destroying the internet just to save some copyrighted crap, why not just remove it rather than shut down websites and make everyone mad?

It's a terrible soup in Spanish.
Also our blackout supposedly ended a couple of minutes ago.
8:00 pm America time, right?

The protest ran from 8AM to 8PM Eastern Standard Time.

However, several websites are still protesting at this moment. Google and Wikipedia are still protesting as we speak.

What the fuck does the government think its doing? Do they even realize that if they get these bills passed, they cripple themselves along with us? They need us to develop in order to sustain themselves. The current laws are doing what we need them to do. Its the same crap that happend in 2006 with the "broadcast flag". Media giants wanted to control who had what and for how long. I see they are at it again.

I wouldn't be worried, a bill that encroaches on freedom of speech this much will never pass... And if something this extreme did somehow manage to pass, I'm pretty sure the gov't would have a national uprising to deal with.

This kind of censorship may work in China, but it will never work in a country who's very pride is being the "Land of the Free".

Funny, seems to be less users on than before. Maybe we gotta give it some time. Or were well past peak time. Perhaps SOPA attracted more users?

It seems that during the blackouts at least 6 senators have pulled their support for SOPA/PIPA. Hardly a victory but it's something at least.

Overall, I think we did good. Sure, we could have done more, and some bigger websites should have completely taken their site down instead of just showing solidarity by having a black bar covering their name (You know who I'm talking about), but overall, we did a good job. Congrats to us all :D I'm gonna keep my Youtube Page on SOPA strike until tomorrow morning.
