Another update on my battle character. You paint very well. I've been watching your thread for some time to study your process (digital painting is a weakness of mine, especially where color is concerned). I only have a suggestion for the addition of armor, in that the legs and pelvis are generally much less important than the heart and other internal organs. what you have is definitely purely aesthetic at this point.
Not sure what I'll put in her other hand. Maybe a big knife/machete like weapon.
Yeah. I realize that. I want to eventually do some realistic heavily armored people, but this chick's armor is definitely not realistic at all. Although I might add some plating or something to cover her heart and chest area, especially since it's already covered by her shirt.
Well, I'm going to sleep so I won't miss another morning class. Since I posted I'll put an update on my this picture.
Also the what the process I'm using with this picture is: draw it on paper and make it look pretty good with some basic shading, in photoshop use a luminosity layer and a color layer, start shading using flat colors and avoid black, put down colors on the color layer and adjust the opacity as needed to make it look nice. Also I tend to adjust the vibrancy and levels to give it a little more of a kick.
