I've never liked K-Pop (Korean Pop) for my WHOLE life until the year 2010 when I saw how much it has evolved.

Seriously. Kpop will get you hooked. ABSOLUTELY eye-popping, colorful, well-produced music videos. Amazingly good-looking singers and girl groups/boy groups with great personalities and quirks whom you'll come to adore. RIDICULOUSLY catchy hooks and ear worms that will stick in your mind for days on end.

If you're currently bored of music, and looking for something new and interesting, you'll love Kpop. It has a LOT of fans worldwide. South Americans leaving spanish comments in Kpop videos, French people oogling over the newest music video, etc. Sure it's nothing very DEEP and "artistic" but it's mass-manufactured fun music at its best.

Kpop is making its way into the American music scene soon as well, with Will.I.am from the Black Eyed Peas producing an album for the absolutely "Americanized" girl group: 2NE1.

www.allkpop.com is the ABSOLUTE best source for Kpop news if you get interested, and if you do, then you'll check up on it daily like many Kpop fans.

The most popular Kpop artists are mostly girl groups/guy groups. The QUEEN of Kpop is SNSD, also called Girl's Generation. Groups like Kara, T-ARA, 4minute, After School, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, Miss A, Rainbow, Brown Eyed Girls, f(x), and Secret are very well known as well. The most popular guy groups are: BIGBANG, 2PM, B2ST, INFINITE, MBLAQ, and Super Junior.

Here's a list of the ABSOLUTE most best representation of what Kpop is like:

Oh! - One of SNSD's more beloved songs.
Gee - the NUMBER ONE most famous song EVER in Kpop history.
Lovey Dovey - T-ARA's newest hit that combines retro themes with clubbing/techno.
Beautiful Hangover - A Japanese song by the Korean guy group, BIGBANG
I Am The Best - 2NE1's most famous song released in 2011
I Need a Girl - a song by Taeyang, going solo, from BIGBANG
So Cool - SISTAR's popular song in 2011.
sNu Abo - f(x)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SwiSpudK WI
Genie - another hit by SNSD
Hands Up - by 2PM
Fiction - a well made song by B2ST
Tonight - My favorite song from BIGBANG
Shanghai Romance - a song parodying China from Orange Caramel
Hoot - ANOTHER SONG BY SNSD, PROBABLY MY FAVORITE
Cry Cry - TARA, one of their NEW NEW songs.
Danger - f(x)
Super Junior's SORRY SORRY
Lucifer - by SHINee
High High - by GD&TOP
Lonely - By 2NE1
Love Song - by BIGBANG
Turn It Up - T.OP.
Roly Poly and Why are You Being Like This? - TARA
I My Me Mine - 4minute
Why - 4minute
Heart to Heart - 4minute
Mirror Mirror - 4Minute
IU - Good Day
Bubble Pop

The real cream of the crop are the live performances. They come up all the time at allkpop, and any simple YouTube search will bring it up.

I don't expect anyone to watch through ALL of these videos. Just feel free to come back, and refer back to the list whenever you're looking for more Kpop videos.

I don't like it.

Yeah, I don't expect everyone to like Kpop, especially those who listen to death metal and alternative.

No list is complete without Kara.

Not me. I would say a significant percent of fans might be because of that, but they seriously just bring a lot of joy and happiness in me just listening to their music and watching their performances. I don't get such an overwhelming salvo of positive emotions enjoying Kpop, other than playing sports, or playing my guitar.

Seriously, I may be jealous of my great-grandchildren for enjoying a world with the most technologically advanced stuff ever, but I'm happy to be living in the 21st century, partly because I get to enjoy Kpop at its golden age.

Plus I can't get enough of the Korean-American and Korean-Canadian Kpop stars. Whenever they speak English like Kystal, Jessica and Tiffany, KevJumba and GNA speak english, it makes me appreciate the English language even more for some reason.

If their faces suffered 3rd degree burns, their fanbase would drop a thousand fold. The music isn't special. It's only pop.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I do like them a lot based on their looks, and I do enjoy Kpop and acknowledge it as not really the "deep" "artistic" music that truly eminate's one's soul.

It's just pop, and I like pop. I like enjoying my other music that contains much deeper meaning, and also the incredibly irresistible Kpop tunes, mass manufactured, and presented in such polish and color, that I can't help but be a fan.

It's kinda' like watching Harold and Kumar. It's a stoner comedy film, and not going to win an Oscar award for Best Picture or anything. But it's a really funny and fun movie to watch.

That's my view of Kpop.

I personally don't watch a lot of Korean dramas, but I heard that a lot of Kpop fans became Kpop fans because of watching them. You're living proof of this~ Pretty cool <3 The more the merrier, in my opinion.

You know that reaction you got a couple years back when someone would trick you into getting rick rolled? These are the types of videos that you should be having the same reaction to.

unless you're like a weebeo or something.

No offense to you, but I can't even force myself to watch those types of videos.

Why are they trying to mimic anime characters if they are mentally incapable of it? It is less than pathetic, it is unworthy of any reference.

It's true that many Kpop stars like anime, but theyre not trying to mimic them. South Korea as a whole has this "aegyo" culture. What that means is girls who act really really outrageously cute, and some people like it and others detest it.

http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%

This is an example of it. Generally some Kpop videos have a lot of aegyo, others made to look sexy, others artsy, etc.
