I've never liked K-Pop (Korean Pop) for my WHOLE life until the year 2010 when I saw how much it has evolved.

Seriously. Kpop will get you hooked. ABSOLUTELY eye-popping, colorful, well-produced music videos. Amazingly good-looking singers and girl groups/boy groups with great personalities and quirks whom you'll come to adore. RIDICULOUSLY catchy hooks and ear worms that will stick in your mind for days on end.

If you're currently bored of music, and looking for something new and interesting, you'll love Kpop. It has a LOT of fans worldwide. South Americans leaving spanish comments in Kpop videos, French people oogling over the newest music video, etc. Sure it's nothing very DEEP and "artistic" but it's mass-manufactured fun music at its best.

Kpop is making its way into the American music scene soon as well, with Will.I.am from the Black Eyed Peas producing an album for the absolutely "Americanized" girl group: 2NE1.

www.allkpop.com is the ABSOLUTE best source for Kpop news if you get interested, and if you do, then you'll check up on it daily like many Kpop fans.

The most popular Kpop artists are mostly girl groups/guy groups. The QUEEN of Kpop is SNSD, also called Girl's Generation. Groups like Kara, T-ARA, 4minute, After School, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, Miss A, Rainbow, Brown Eyed Girls, f(x), and Secret are very well known as well. The most popular guy groups are: BIGBANG, 2PM, B2ST, INFINITE, MBLAQ, and Super Junior.

Not me. I would say a significant percent of fans might be because of that, but they seriously just bring a lot of joy and happiness in me just listening to their music and watching their performances. I don't get such an overwhelming salvo of positive emotions enjoying Kpop, other than playing sports, or playing my guitar.

Seriously, I may be jealous of my great-grandchildren for enjoying a world with the most technologically advanced stuff ever, but I'm happy to be living in the 21st century, partly because I get to enjoy Kpop at its golden age.

Plus I can't get enough of the Korean-American and Korean-Canadian Kpop stars. Whenever they speak English like Kystal, Jessica and Tiffany, KevJumba and GNA speak english, it makes me appreciate the English language even more for some reason.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I do like them a lot based on their looks, and I do enjoy Kpop and acknowledge it as not really the "deep" "artistic" music that truly eminate's one's soul.

It's just pop, and I like pop. I like enjoying my other music that contains much deeper meaning, and also the incredibly irresistible Kpop tunes, mass manufactured, and presented in such polish and color, that I can't help but be a fan.

It's kinda' like watching Harold and Kumar. It's a stoner comedy film, and not going to win an Oscar award for Best Picture or anything. But it's a really funny and fun movie to watch.

That's my view of Kpop.

I personally don't watch a lot of Korean dramas, but I heard that a lot of Kpop fans became Kpop fans because of watching them. You're living proof of this~ Pretty cool <3 The more the merrier, in my opinion.

It's true that many Kpop stars like anime, but theyre not trying to mimic them. South Korea as a whole has this "aegyo" culture. What that means is girls who act really really outrageously cute, and some people like it and others detest it.
