Well, a lot of Rise Against is good, like "State of the Union" and basically anything from "Siren Song of the Counter Culture" if you like rap instead, Slaughterhouse is pretty good, "The One" and "Cuckoo" being really good songs by them. Of course, my favorite band is My Chemical Romance, basically anything by them is great.

Drivers Seat

Obviously. Not that it's my favourite song or anything though, but it's a perfect song for driving at night.

but thats just me. i dont know how thats gonna help you...

'80s thrash is pretty good for this- early Metallica, any Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will keep you going for a while.

"Good to be me" by Uncle Kracker. It just feels like a driving song to me.
"Raise your glass" by P!nk. Say what you like, her music kicks ass.

I am inclined to disagree with that.

I fucking love Tom Cochrane, I know it's a bit overdone but it's a pretty mellow song.

For something a bit heavier, I recommend Club Foot by Kasabian, it's a damn good song.

And power metal is always a good idea.

This.

Also the Lou Reed + Metallica album has grown on me considerably since listening to it several times and I now recommend it.
