Here's probably my best piece...you can look at it in full view here in the portal.
Anyone have any advice? I want to improve a lot.
Here's my second best piece. It's in my own cartoon-ish style so I guess you can't judge it's anatomy, but the background to this picture doesn't seem like it's drawn in the same style as the character and I haven't been able to figure that out. Any thoughts on that?
I know we all hate anime, and I do too. I'm trying to do a more western style way of drawing people but it always come out as anime crap. I could use help with that too.
Oh, and sorry for the incredibly small pictures. I'll upload bigger ones from now on.
I don't like the background on this one, eventually I'll redo it all but how does the character look?
Rendering skills aren't too bloody blood, but your anatomy is inconsistent - which is not the best of idea. Looking at the shoulders of your most recent character or the face and hands of the character before that; it's obvious you have some room for some motherfucking improvement.
So keep at it, sugartits. If you want I can link you to some tuts, but mostly it's just practice, you dig?

The anatomy isn't inconsistent, the red haired girl and the purple haired one are a teenager and an adult. Of course the proportions are going to be slightly different.
And what the hell does bloody blood mean.
*bloody bad
And come on, man, don't make me clarify this. I don't give that much of a shit.
Actually, I'll do a few redlines. When I was saying "inconsistent" I was saying that you'd get it right on one half of the picture then screw up the other half, not that it changed from picture to picture. That'd be ridiculous, don't be silly.
I scribbled on them for a bit. Writing may or may not be coherent, but you should be able to see what I meant anyway. I'll share the same fucking tip that I shared in some other guy's thread: if you want to see the flaws with a picture, flip it.
I don't know why the eye works like that. It just does.
Rendering is alright, though, as I've already fucking stated. At least the technical ability side of it is.
Oh now I see that.
The flipping the image thing is a good idea. I'll be sure to do that from now on.
hey frost, suck my dick! how are you? also that flipping the picture thing is pretty interesting i'll have to give that a try for some of my stuff. I never really thought about it but it looks like it'd help a lot.

I really like the last two pictures, especially the girl with the purple hair. He's right about the anatomy issues though. I didn't notice them at first, but after he pointed it out they seemed obvious. I like the way you color though. Looks good in my opinion.
Also, yeah I too realized that flipping the image can reveal flaws in painting.
Okay I just have to say something. While Lintire's advice it totally sound, after looking through his art gallery, I'm just wondering how the hell he thinks he has the room to talk shit about the anatomy in someone else's painting. That said, he is right.
i guess some people just can't take their own advice?

Regardless if he could draw well or not, his advice was still helpful. C:
Anyways, I sketched up this today. I'm sure the anatomy is totally butchered.
Advice?
hmmmm... i'm not that good with male anatomy (go figure since i am one) but i will say i don't really like how the neck looks. it's like he swallowed a bowling ball or something. but who knows, maybe that's how super muscly guys' neck look.
okay they look really weired anyway but the nck don't look like that. i mean you can't really go wrong with the proportions of a bodybuilder right? they're kinda freaky looking anyway.

You have the right idea - triangular shape, thin waist and quads, whatever, the muscle is there, it's just missized. I'd say the biggest mistakes are undeniably his gorilla arms and tiny waist.
Now, I'm not going to bother redlining or all that jazz, but I would like you to have a look at three pages:
"fellas tutorial" by alexds1 - this one provides quite a few example of natural looking men's bodies, musculature and whatnot. I'd advise any beginner to have at least a good luck at what the artist says.
"abdomination" by ceolasquid - now it may just be me, but all the people who seem to make the good tutorials about drawing guys are chicks. Nevertheless this one takes an indepth looks at muscle builds, and especially abs. Definitely recommend it.
"How to Look Freakin' Awesome" by John Romaniello - well hey, if you're looking to draw a gym rat, who better to consult then other gym rats? This one has nothing to do with art, but contains all the golden properties to how a bodybuilder looks without looking like a freak.
Best of luck, or whatever.

Hey thanks! Those tutorials were helpful, I'll be sure to learn from them or whatever.
Here's another picture I did. I've yet to put it on the art portal here. But HERE it is on Deviantart.
