I've been transferring old Lit articles to the Wiki, where they will exclusively reside after the redesign launch.

Along the way I found an article that was never formatted for the current layout. With SOPA looming over us it feels newly relevant, so I made some updates and stuck it in the Wiki.

Behold: My Investigation by the MPAA!

This is the game JohnnyUtah and I have been working on.

I have to admit, considering all these stories you've had with Newgrounds over the years only reminds me how brave and truthful you are to your own creation. I would have been completely controlled by fear if something like your MPAA story had happened to my home and myself.

I´m doing my best to protest this bill by spreading this piece of art that I made around the internet.

Haha, that movie was good from what I remember, I was so young though.

That is an interesting tale.

Well I hope things have changed a lot over the last 10 years that there are clearer guidelines on this kind of thing and a lot less dicking about over it all. Be a waste of their time, your time and their resources.

I love reading these things. Reminds me of a simpler time when Tom was more of an angst-filled bastard of a kid and less of a mature and responsible adult. :3

So lemme get this straight.

Tom gets movie footage. Tom posts movie footage. Big Bad corporation demands Tom to take down the website instead of just the footage.

Damn.

To be fair, maybe it was just in the best interest of the public that they wished you to take down that movie footage. After all it was Tom Green. No one should have to be subjected to that kind of viewing.

I'm sure there's plenty of interesting stories about the history of Newgrounds you'd be able to tell your grandkids, Tom.

Horror stories perhaps?

thats the real question of this story

I was nervous the producers would get in trouble, decide I didn't have their back and not do any more cool shit with me in the future. But it turns out they didn't do any more cool shit with me in the future anyway. That's sorta how Hollywood works; people bend over backwards to get in their good graces, they reap the benefits, then move on to the next mark. Although we benefited too with some publicity at the time.

We'll be having Pico Day but I might not do the Tank Awards as part of it this year. It always makes the day kinda stressful and I would rather just have fun and release an awards presentation later.
