Obama did nothing in the act to bring down health care costs.
BTW, before the act takes effect, insurance companies are jacking up health care premiums. Mine have nearly tripled.

I'm just glad to have insurance. Before this act, I was briefly without coverage.

I'm still being robbed blind because of Sodobamacare. Next, I'll bet they raise my income tax.

Don't blame your rising premiums on Obamacare. Any insurance company who says they will lose money is full of shit.
Sure their costs are going up, but has anyone here ever guessed why this sweeping healthcare act has a mandate instead of government option or single payer? The insurance companies.
As a trade off for the lower thresholds to get insurance the law essentially steers tens of millions of new customers into the insurance ranks.
You're getting fleeced because your insurance knows most Americans won't know that they stand to make more money off of the ACA and use it as an excuse to jack up your rates illegitimately without any fight.
Also, have you ever thought of other reasons your insurance may be gonig up right now? Perhaps its because the baby boomers are getting older?

The creators of the ACA put that bit in the bill, knowing full well that, until the premium rate freeze takes effect, the insurance companies are going to raise rates. Either that, or we have actual retards in Congress (A distict possibility)
My premiums went up almost immediately after Obamacare was passed......I doubt it was because of baby boomers.

That's what the insurance companies are banknig on you thinking. The truth is that any long term loss created by shallower rate increases and/or lower standards for enrolling will be offset by the large amount of new customers they will get. They're gaming the ignorance (and relative immobuility of the market) in order to turn some extra money.

Here's an interesting thing to see. Let's see how far your rates go down if the ACA is struck down. My bets are on a $0.00 decrease.

The insurance companies are making me believe anything except for the fact that they are greedy and if I don't pay them, they drop my coverage.
Obama and Congress were, obviously, not smart enough to anticipate these rate hikes, or they would of put provisions in the bill to freeze rate hikes from the outset. Either that, or the insurance companies sent a lot of payola to the Dems campaigns (More likely).
If they do repeal the ACA, yes, rates wil not come down.......Obama and Congress let the cat out of the bag and there it will stay.
Are there any real provisions in the ACA to lower medical costs? I think not.
