Jesus as a martyr

So'z I have this essay due in English tomorrow, we are supposed to identify Jesus as something (hero, teacher, whatevs). I chose martyr.

Basically this essay needs to be four pages long, I've finished page one and am losing direction.
Can anyone provide some insight, advice, sources, websites, direction, whatever, I'd appreciate it

So here it is, and by the way the first sentence is given, if it were my choice I wouldn't use it

In my opinion Jesus is a martyr. His death by crucifixion was an act of martyrdom done to save the children of God (source?). When he was asked to renounce his title as the son of God, he refused, and was killed. He was given a choice; give up his beliefs or be killed. He is considered by many to have been the first and greatest martyr.
A martyr is defined as a person who "suffers persecution and death for refusing to renounce or accept a belief or cause, usually religious" (cite Wikipedia). This definition fits the scenario of Jesus's death perfectly - he was given an ultimatum and chose death.
Although the idea of Jesus being a martyr might seem strange, we have to overlook any preconceptions of what the word "martyr" means and discover the base meaning of the word. The word is often associated with extremists or holy wars, but the true mark of a martyr is not one who inflicts violence or terror but instead one who makes a sacrifice (wording?). In fact, martyrdom is prevalent in many religious histories, including Christianity. Paul the Apostle is believed to have viewed Jesus's death as martyrdom. In history, many Jews died as martyrs for resisting Hellenization - for refusing to give up/renounce their customs, such as not eating pork, the Sabbath, etc. etc. they would be killed.

Dude. I specifically said that the sentence is GIVEN you 'tard. On the specifications for the essay, the essay must start with "in my opinion, Jesus is a ___"
