It doesn't really matter to me whether you're using livetrace or not, maybe you are painstakingly tracing over the differences in shadows with each color as you go along with the pen tool as if you were using livetrace.
That leaves me with 2 questions.
Why not just use livetrace? if people are going to assume you did it regardless.
and what is painstakingly tracing over photos teaching you, other than being able to do it faster?

Basically you named what i do right there :D , and im not going to use livetrace cause its stupid and not part of my class assignment second. Im learning alot more then you might think I feel so confident with the program that I can make up my own pic :D thats what i plan to do soon :D

You should definitely post a picture in the thread instead of just linking it will give poeple just scrolling through the thread a much better overview of your art, and it'll save clicks for the rest of us. in fact, the rules say:
