Translation: You think exactly like I do and I like that.

You show me that not all is lost with your generation.

It isn't. Kids and adolescences are obscenely fucking retarded. This is nothing new.

The new generation is growing up with all this technology and luxurious items and they don't even care to learn. That's the problem. Not just yours but mine (will, I'm 18 so we might be the same generation). Us young people don't care anymore. That's why English is going down the shit hole, along with quality taste in music, style, and entertainment.

Perfect. Right there. You identified it. We have technology. That's why this generation seems so much worse. Because of how easy it is to highlight the negatives. You really think teenage girls never talked about completely retarded shit like "Oh my god Jill, yesterday I fell down the stairs" until the advent of Facebook? The difference between then and now is that everybody fucking notices since instead of being a one off comment it lingers on your wall.

Also, English isn't going down the shit hole. Languages change. Words we have now are shorthand of longer words. But oh no, that's different since back in the nostalgia days it was the norm.

Talking about quality of entertainment? Are you kidding me? Do you remember every single shitty pop song from the 80s and 90s that was popular on the radio? Fuck no, because we weren't alive then and the older generation didn't give enough fucks to listen to it after it had its time.

Btw, are you in jr. high or high school? In high school, we tend to get a little more mature so some of these problems will fade a bit.

Wait, are you telling me that as people age past the early teen and childhood years they mature?

You sir, deserve a Nobel.

Nostalgiaing up in this bitch are we?

This may really suck to hear, but what those bands did isn't exactly great. Everybody loves them because everybody loves them because of nostalgia and everybody loving them.

We idolized the past. We're fixated on it. Everything was better back then.

I'm referring to all this technology as tools. Tools making everyone too lazy to give a damn about learning or achieving anything with hard work.

Also, English isn't going down the shit hole. Languages change. Words we have now are shorthand of longer words. But oh no, that's different since back in the nostalgia days it was the norm.

Compare today's pop with the 80s. In comparison, back then they actually tried.

Wait, are you telling me that as people age past the early teen and childhood years they mature?

I'm reassuring him that those kids will probably grow out of doing things like that. Don't be such an ass.

Listen to the stories your parents tell you. They used to play with explosives and no one gave a shit. Mass media wasn't on the level it is now. Someone blows off their hand, absolutely nobody really pays attention. Now? The kid gets a psych eval, the parents lose the kid, it's all over the news. Nancy Grace leads a media assault against the parents and they get a dateline special.

I'm referring to all this technology as tools. Tools making everyone too lazy to give a damn about learning or achieving anything with hard work.

That's why progress is still being made and the kids of today are able to intuitively use all sorts of things, and the rudimentary skills used to have college classes to learn them?

I'm pretty sure "omg no wai ur such a fag" is not change. It's devolution.

Other musicians making the background music?
Check
Gimmicky singer?
Check
Ghost written or very shallow lyrics?
Check
Bands that are somewhat decent being blown out of proportion?

Well, yeah, but these kids are the ones that would get blown up in milliseconds. Call of Duty wouldn't prepare them for that.

Right you are! BattleField is what prepares you! not COD.

lmfao @ people that don't realize this

What's funny to me is that people have been thinking that the younger generation is shit since the times of Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates .apparently (not great but first link I found with the quotes). Some great thinkers lol.

You obviously havent played the Call of Duty games before cod4. In my opinion they were way better.

A kid seriously wrote on Facebook "Fell down the stairs again" SERIOUSLY!?! They also say the most retarded things.

Thats sums up 90% of facebook.

I am a nerd, I'll admit it, but I don't care, but once a kid called my gay for playing a DS

The kid probably has severe autism.

The OP is actually the least retarded 13 year old I have ever seen on the internet, and I am not being sarcastic.

Here's How I Feel About This Generation

Gamers: Gamers Today Are Ignorant Pricks Who Worship Sony and Microsoft while blindly walking over Nintendo despite every f**k up Sony and/or Microsoft has done in the past, the Game Sales also show that they also lack whimsy because they buy only endless FPS games, retail-only roster updated Madden games, GTA clones and fighters. Their attitudes are worse compared to generations past.. If you look at forums like G4, 4chan or the FurAffinity forums you will most likely see idol worship for Sony and Microsoft while in return bashing newcomers to gaming and anyone who enjoys playing on a 3DS, Wii or anticipates the Wii U, The only way for gamers today to change is to start by expanding their radar starting with preordering "Xenoblade Chronicles" from either Nintendo's online store or GameStop.. if not, We're screwed!

TV:I don't watch that much TV these days outside of reruns of "Love, American Style" on Me-TV and shows like Regular Show, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Max & Ruby, MAD, World's Dumbest and so forth but I fully agree that TV today has dwindled in quality but It's mostly the fault of not only the viewers of the rubbish like Jersey Shore and Total Drama but Nielsen Ratings for making Network and Cable channels believe we watch that stuff

Music:Don't Get Me Started!

They always play COD or related games. They say I'm missing out a lot since I have only a PC and no console. They also write in short, and make english look bad. Even though I'm part of this generation, I try my best to write the whole words whenever I'm making a post on any forum, blog or anywhere.

And they all are so immature on the internet.

I used to be like that when I was 12-14.
they'll grow out of it, spend their 16th year being embarrassed about it, then they'll have got over it by 18.
