Why are there points allocated to Japan/Turkey in block 1? Did I misread the voting instructions?

I thought it was forbidden to vote for people in your own block?

Still hoping for norway to pop up on representation, I can see how it would be overlooked because I didn't incorporate a viking-esque singer, but arranging, emphasis, and tone is overall encompassing of norwegian music entirely. But at the same time songs like the Indian submission definitely took instrumentals to the extreme so I can see that again. I'm just surprised I wasn't even allotted 2 points minimum because I addressed a completely different angle of representation than the majority did.

BUT

enough about my whining

So far I have big roots for india, hope they keep the up and up going, hopefully it'll be tiiight :)

Oh bro, whether or not you win you probably have the song I listen to most in my spare time.

I've really enjoyed listening to all the submissions, but I've had a special place in my heart for my fellow Steppers, so I pulled a funny face reading the last line. Pic related

This contest is like Newgrounds version of World's Got Talent pretty much, in that the public votes for their favorite, but not neccesarily the best made songs.

Anyways, I hope you all have fun =^_____^=

Response to Represent A Country 2012 [Contest] 2012-03-28 10:03:32

Isn't Mexico's points currently 14? ^^;

Oh, how are the block votes calculated exactly? Are both of the member's votes averaged and the final ranking determined?

Ouch from 4th down to 8th after that last vote.

Anyway, I'm really liking the way the votes have been coming in and totalling up daily, makes for a good bit of suspense.

Lol!
Both members scores are added together, then the highest scorer gets the 24 points, second gets 19 and so on and such and such. Anyways, just thought I'd forewarn everyone. Things start to change dramatically, you think you know all the results? You really don't! ;)

Yeah 'cause I feel I don't really deserve the placing I have right now. I mean, I expected to come last or maybe 2nd to last, but 2nd? Yeah I have a feeling I'm gonna plunge dowwwwn the ranks.
