I've got to agree with that. There's some female vocalists I like, but for the most part I just want to cut my ears off and shove them up my ass so I can hear the sound of my farts above their voices.

All the bands I listen to have male lead singers. Fitz and the Tantrums is the only band I listened to that regularly includes a female vocalist, but she only works as a backup. Pat Benatar is a wonderful female solo singer, but I'm not sure if she does anything recently.
I haven't seen many female figures in music. In fact, I observed not too long ago that 90% of musicians in the popular music industry are male. I don't know why. But when I do hear the relatively rare female singer, it doesn't surprise me if she isn't very good.

There are top singers in both the male and female categories ranking so high that there is no comparison needed.
The only thing which always bothers me is that most women sing the same and therefore sound alike. There are more women who can sing then men, but to find that special woman is harder then with men.
I prefer female vocals, but overall, I think the genders are equal, and it all comes down to preference.
