Alright, here is as good as place as any to do this.

So I have come up with my next exercise/project. It involves a couple of things that I want to do for various reasons.

The utmost being that I need an actual project to work on.

The thing will be designing some fake props. Drinks to be more specific. I intend to create the names, then do a logo for the drink. With this I will practice my logo making abilities along with practicing some Typography.

I have little to no skill with typography so this should be quite informative.

Also since I'm applying to a local logo company, the logo practice won't hurt either

Anyway when I'm done with the first two parts, I intend to design and draw the drink. Something like the specific glass it should be served in and such... I'll get to that later.

Anyway the drinks will be more fantasy based so I can use them in Role Playing Games and such and the Inital ideas from them will come from the Primary colors and the Secondary colors to tie it all in to a theme.

So I have the following named drinks.
Destiny Red
The Blue Rogue
Yellow Snow
Violet Sipper
Green Vapor
And
Orange Blend

I've actually been using the Orange Blend one in game for a while now, so it's going to be much easier.

I know this doesn't seem like much of a project, but I think I will find it amusing if nothing else. So I hope I learn from it as well.

So As I get some of these done, some C&C would be really awesome and helpful.

So Here goes, I'll be working on my orange blend Typography tonight as I try to catch up on episodes of Face Off

if my internet holds out.

Been practicing some fancy hand writing. Did the initial rough by hand then inked and added a splash of color in Photoshop.

Thanks to some inspiration from good 'ol Bob, I revamped my Etching tutorial.
Got some good photos too to really illustrate. My little nephew helped out a lot too. Even he took a couple pictures for me.

So anyway. give it a look and leave some comments.

Also, having access to a plotter for masks makes this a hell of a lot easier.

I haven't had much time or energy to draw lately. but On sunday I caught up on the Latest turtles episodes and monday I just felt the need to draw some Turtles.
I have been spending my lunch breaks trying to sketch a little while I'm eating. but 30 minutes just isn't enough. Perhaps I should just take a longer lunch and then just make up for it at the end of the day or something.

I did the sketch normally and then went over it with a black prismacolor pencil. I have come across a few recommendations for it and I do kind of like how the color pencil came out. I haven't done much editing to it except for some levels adjustments. so I might do this more in the future,

I neither confirm, nor deny the validity of this statement... although rumors are that it is possibly true.

that was my "+2 response of Vagueness" it provides a chance of confusion on a successful confirmed critical strike.

Yup.... on Nickelodeon... all 3d.... its not too bad though....character designs aren't bad. story has been decent so far

nope. Character designs and setup is pretty different. This new one is suppose to be a modern reboot.

Like they haven't done "That" before.

I still think for the most part, its not bad. Or at least the first season isn't that bad. But then again the first seasone of TMNT wasn't that all that bad either. Guess we'll see how it does as it continues along.

Oh and also they have a bad guy who looks like Chuck Norris (Which I'm sure it is intentional) but they then mutated him in to a dog like mutant... I liked the Chuck Norris version better.

I've pushed as far as I can tonight, I'm falling asleep with my pen in my hand. so I got no choice but to shut this bitch down for the night.
I hope to get right back to it first thing in the morning. I'm not even done with the sky and I still have to do more blocking of the landscape and then the castle. and then after tons of tweaking, I should be able to start to dump in some more definite detail.
I should be practicing daily, but I haven't even sketched in a week...
man this is going to be a disaster...

So why working on that castle commission the past few days, I have had the X-Men 90's TV show playing in the background for some noise.
Well to unwind after working on the project all day, I continue to watch some episodes to finish out my evening. And while I watch these old episodes, I doodle and sketch and just goof off artistically. Last night I painted a Pikachu Art Card on a piece of Matte Lexan. And tonight, after the episode involving Proteus, I kind of liked his simple design, so I decided to sketch, ink and color a quick bust shot of him...
although I like it, its kind of lazy considering he really has no real features and is very ambiguous
But eh, what ever, perhaps some X-Men Fan Art will bring some views to my old lonely thread.
