It recently occurred to me how much time I waste browsing through facebook and other social networking websites. It took me some time, but I realized that it's meaningless to lurk around on other's profiles for hours and hours, and that it drove me mad. Of course, I'm sure others don't quite feel the way I do about that. As a result, I spend less time overall on it and have been spending it doing different things, like reading or watching television shows.
The thought "I'm wasting my time" often pops up in our heads and tends to frustrate us to a great extent, but what type of activities do you see as being a good or enjoyable way to use your time?

Sometimes you got to do what you don't think you should do. I don't see how watching tv is a better time spender. I think a reason why people hover on FB is because they don't like their own life.

Very true...
About the TV remark: I mainly pointed that out as an alternative to wasting away on social networking. Of course, too much of it is beyond detrimental.

Walk out of your house... Squint as the sunlight burns your eyes as they adjust to the new found idea of Vitamin C hitting your eyes. Then watch out, cause your pure white skin might be delicate to this type of radiation, And then live your life.
Hmm...Do you have a hobby? Like playing a musical instrument, drawing, photography, hunting, fishing etc? Just try spending less time on those sites and more time doing other stuff you really love. And if you don't have any hobbies that you know of, go outside for a walk! Walking is a natural exercise and it gives you time to think on things and makes you feel refreshed when you get finished.

Haha! 2 min of checking other friends immediately got me bored and went back to youtube or newgrounds!
Of course, I'm sure others don't quite feel the way I do about that.
But I do.
As a result, I spend less time overall on it and have been spending it doing different things, like reading or watching television shows.

Spend it with friends, family, studying, or excercise!
Or play video games, or read some books...

Anything that brings me enjoyment is a good way to spend my time. I like to be productive and tend to be a workaholic and to get obsessed with goals, but you need also some time to relax from time to time, otherwise you will burn out. I always make sure that I have atleast an hour per day that I use to relax, most times I end up reading something.

Social networking is being social, so it's not really a time waster, unless it's easy to actually get in touch with those people and hang out. As for the TV alternative, you really are wasting time; you're just sitting there absorbing information. It's better to be productive. Even playing video games is more productive than watching the telly. Just try and find a hobby.
This is my signature. It is a nice signature.
I run around in the forest and eat animals.
Science and Math Club ... Typical Friday night, right? ... Don't follow me.
If My Sharona isn't prime lovemaking music, then I don't know what love is.
I often realize that I'm "wasting time" doing something that isn't "productive" like watching anime but then I decidedly embrace it and keep fucking doing it because I enjoy it.
When I'm not playing videogames, or whatching TV, or trolling forums, I play guitar or just sit at my desk and draw shit.
A good thing to do would be reading or doing some excersice, sadly, I don't do both.
Instead, I waste my time playing videogames, whatching TV and trolling forums.
Thanks for reminding me how sad my life is...
If we can call it 'life'...
