I don't personally believe in Hell, in the sense that religion tells it is demons and the devil and etc..
But does anyone else fear that they will burn?
I fear that when I die, (and this is irrational, but I sometimes am scared by this) I will be in such a place as the sun. I mean, can you imagine the temperatures of trillions of degrees?

But good sir, the Sun is only 10 million degrees, at best.

So you don't believe in demons but what you believe in is basically a giant fire pit?
But no, its incomprehensible, I doubt your body, if you could somehow stay alive, would be able to process the pain.

But he's already dead.
But paradoxically, I agree.

I usually consider myself an atheist/agnostic but sometimes I get caught up in "what IF I'm wrong and Christianity is like, the one true religion"?

I knew when I posted this that someone would call me out on that. haha
I know, by the way. I'm just saying, what if the place we experience after Earth is some kind of Hell? Einstein proved that energy could not be created, nor destroyed. Sooo... what does that mean for our energy? And can our energy feel pain?
Because if our energy does go someplace, and it can feel pain... this universe, outside of Earth is either painfully freezing cold, or mind fuckingly hot.

I don't believe there is hell altough I believe humans have souls. The body is the prison of the soul, the only way to free your soul is to DIE. I believe souls, spirits are in another dimension that we can't see. But hey, no one has ever come back from the dead to tell us how it is.

When you die, thats it. its as simple as that, you wont remember anything from life, it will just be like closing your eyes forever but you wont even realize because your brain doesn't function. its sad knowing that after around 80 years thats all you will ever get from existence, but it seems the most realistic to me.

Hell may exist but even if it does there is no real way to keep from going there. Millions of religions and they all say differently. Live a good life and treat others with kindness and hope for the best thats about all you can do
Excuse me, I'm looking for a car that's been tricked out to look like an ice cream truck.
I could use a strapping young man to do some chores around the house!
AHHH! JACKPOT!

Yeah, the latter is a lot more likely. Screw that whole Pascal's wager thing.

Well, I love stories that involve demons, but I don't believe in them.

If any of the major religions are correct, which they aren't, hell is populated by the most interesting and intelligent humans ever to walk this planet, while heaven is populated by people who are content to sit on clouds strumming harps for eternity.
I know where I'd rather go.

I think you forgot a 1 in front of the 80. Unless you were talking in terms of Celsius then that post would make sense

Well that's depressing.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.

I would try to find out where your fears are coming from. Are they coming from men? Or, are they coming from your own intuition? If it is the latter, maybe you should investigate further.
