Store near my house robbed...

Oh fuck.

There is a store right near my house that got robbed at gunpoint yesterday. When I say right near my house, I mean RIGHT near my house. I could throw a rock and hit this damn store if I felt like it. Places near here have been robbed before, but given how close this place is and how often I frequent that store it makes me a tad uneasy.

Oh well, I have a .357 Magnum that says "fuck that guy".

thoughts? anybody else have something like this?

I damn sure don't want to. But, if I had to do it to protect my mother I would. My room is closer to the front door. I wouldn't fuck with my mom though, these punks broke into our old house one time and she shot at them until the gun jammed... she has a revolver now.

You should be pretty safe to continue shopping at the store. It seems to me that if the place was robbed once, it probably won't be robbed again for at least another 3 months or more. THey will most likely beef up camera security and get the cashiers guns or something. Besides, who hits the same convenience store twice in a row?

I live in an area with pretty high crime, so I'm used to places I frequent being robbed. Someone tried to carjack me this summer at the mall. I also get sexually harassed pretty often in public here, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but they follow me to my car etc. asking for my name and number and every once in awhile they touch me which isn't cool .

So yeah I feel ya man. Stay cautious.

You guys have an alarm system installed yet? They're not that expensive.

Well that's a start. I know they aren't fool proof but I started sleeping way better once we had ours installed.

I walked past a guy who was being mugged. I was close enough that I could smell the liquor on the mugger's breath. Luckily I was bigger and taller so he left me alone.

There is a store a street away from my house (I can run there and back pretty quickly) that has been robbed like 3 times at least, I'm not sure if it was robbed at the point of a gun though, since guns are banned in Australia.

It was a great day because the manager owes me 190 bucks to this day and had thretened to kill me several times when i tried to collect said money.

Well, it was a false alarm, but I had a similar situation. Our family runs their own land surveying company, and something set off the alarm at the building nearby. It turns out that it was probably a rat or something, but that moment where I walked over to check out the place with my mom (with pistols, we wouldn't go unarmed, and dad was out of town, and I wasn't going to let her go by herself) was pretty intense.

Ain't no robberies on my turf, from what I've seen for the worst is my sissy and a relative of mine mugged at gunpoint by a few thugs, when I got there with a Magnum, they were long gone...
No worries mate, you might wanna take a few precautions though, leave out all the rest and hope for the best. :)
