I'm certainly very excited if this is the case, but I'm not totally convinced. As that Twitter account isn't official, you can't take all of their words at face value, and looking at the Black Aperture website's whois information traces it to David Hassen, whereas with the main Steam website the registrar field is simply 'Valve Corporation'. I looked up David Hassen's name, and the only one that it's likely to be seems to be a web designer whom, as far as I can tell, does not work for Valve.

If what you're saying is accurate, we might be witnessing the greatest trolling of all-time. That would be a terrific example of internet bastard action.

On a side note there was also a half life 3 shirt being worn by one of the developers. here. Those guys are giving very subtle hints to the game existence.

I'm not necessarily saying that it's not true, and I certainly hope that the game is coming, but there are a few signs of it not being true - not to say that that evidence is at all conclusive. I really think official Valve confirmation seems necessarily. I think now'd be a good time to start working on it, considering they're coming to the end of two projects (CS:GO and DotA 2, on top of having a team still making updates for TF2, even if a lot of that's swapping over to fan-driven content), meaning soon a lot more staff will be free for coming together on a larger project - such as creating a new engine. That's just speculation, though, and I'll try to not let my mind run away with itself for now before rock solid evidence swinging either way comes into play.

Wow, people are really desperate to find clues about Half-Life 3. Yeah, still not buying it. Maybe E3 2012 might give us a real confirmation, but more than likely it'll just be something totally unrelated to Half-Life or nothing at all.

Valve can't count to 3 anyway, so watch out.

If you're talking about that website, if it is legitimate then it's certainly relevant to Half-Life considering the text below the image depicts 'Half-Life 3'. When I think about it more, however, it seems to make less sense for the site to be legitimate. Black Aperture seems like a mashup of Black Mesa and Aperture Science's names (you can see Aperture's logo in the background very faded if you look carefully), and although both of those exist in the Half-Life universe, I don't see why the two rival companies would have their names mixed together in the naming of an upcoming game, especially as in the current situation I'm pretty sure that Black Mesa is essentially shut down, and I assume from the general state of the world that the same goes for Aperture, and Portal is simply set at a different time. I may be wrong, though.

As a whole, I get the impression that this site isn't an announcement of HL3, however as previously stated I certainly do hope that it is. and am not completely ruling out the chance that it is.

E3 2012: Half-Life 3 confirmed!
In other news, VALVe has decided to give ownership of the Half-Life series to Bethesda.

They both are intertwined, maybe not in the same time (i think it was set to be, but scrapped) but the Borealis in HL3 that you are going to be looking for, is made by Aperture. See, they were BIG rivals, but Aperture made the Borealis, and they hid it in an undisclosed location because of the technology aboard.

The Combine are looking for that. And i think Portal 2 is set like 3000 years after the first or something like that. But, its pretty closely tied together. So i can see them doing this.

But, maybe my fanboy side is just hoping so much.

All I said was that I'm not buying that any of this as official. There has been rumors upon rumors about Half-Life 3. Why is this any different? Until I see an official trailer, something more than words or fan Photoshops, about Half-Life 3 at E3 or similar expo, I will disregard any rumor as an official confirmation. What I said was fully relevant to Half-Life.

No. Shut up. All of you, shut it.

I'm not spreading any rumours. I'm not partaking in any anticipation.

Not until there's an official announcement.

This is the clue the pretty much proves that David Hassen is in relation with Valve:

Lookup for black-aperature.com
Lookup for half-life3.com, which directs to orange.half-life2.com (which apparently can't be looked up itself)

In the black-aperature.com lookup:
"Registrant:
Hassen, David
ATTN BLACK-APERTURE.COM
care of Network Solutions
PO Box 459
Drums, PA. US 18222

Domain Name: BLACK-APERTURE.COM"

In the half-life3.com lookup:
Registrant:
Valve Corporation
ATTN HALF-LIFE3.COM
care of Network Solutions
PO Box 459
Drums, PA. US 18222

Domain Name: HALF-LIFE3.COM

Notice anything similar between the bolded text in either lookup?

I just hope Half Life 3 wont be like the new Duke Nukem. By that I mean wait a long time for it to come out only to have a crappy half ass game in the end.
