This. If they can't buy the games, I'm guessing they can't buy the systems.
Seriously, who even reads these things anymore?
I've seen other charities that involve you buying games for yourself, paying whatever you want and that amount would go to charity. This looks more like you're buying games for ill/unfortunate kids which makes a lot less sense.
Honestly. I would much rather help out a depressed 20 year old who considers suicide everyday or a homeless man who can't feed himself or help pay for the actual medical equipment then a video game.
I get the idea is to give a sick kid something to let him have a bit of fun that average child would experience everyday but there's better places to put your money. This charity is great and getting a lot of attention and I'm not saying don't give to child's play. I'm just saying consider your options.
Just because you like video games doesn't mean you should give to this charity.

You donate to the Child's Play organization and they use the funds they receive to purchase both video games and systems for children's hospitals. It's not like you're ordering a copy of Mario Kart to be sent to some kid living in a box.
Happy with what you have to be happy with

What? no. You buy the game and either the money goes to the people who programmed the game, a charity , or the site. You decide exactly where the money goes. Basically they are taking a donation for a charity and giving you games for free.
Wait, are you talking about the humble bundle?
