Christmas Lights: Color or white?

How do you all prefer your christmas lights? White or Color?

I personally find white lights to add a nice touch of eloquence to a house. Color lights always seem be overdone and wind up just looking tacky.

However under no Circumstances should you mix white and color lights when designing a house, that just looks terrible in my opinion.

My family usually buys the colored Christmas lights. White lights look a little bland, to be honest.

Dark blue lights and white lights are usually what my family puts up, I mean we have some other colored ones but we usually just use dark blue and white( We have some neon green ones that change color too)

Funny I was thinking about this topic while driving around. I think white does look very fancy and pretty. Colored looks a bit more festive and fun and can look good when done right. One house I saw has colored and then a string of small snowflake looking white lights below the two sets of color lights. I can't really describe it, but it looks really good the way they did it.

I want to get a colored net to throw over one of my pine trees outside. The only thing I don't like is when people use blue, but that is because it fucks up my eyes and always looks blurry, lol personal problem.

My family uses white lights on the outside of the house, and colored lights on the tree. I think it looks alright, though our colored lights are getting old and dim. We need replacements.

Christmas lights are cheesy anyways, we don't put any up. My neighbors are all into having big inflatable Santas and the like. I used to have fun in my childhood "sniping" at them with my BB gun.

It depends on the atmosphere you're going for. White tends to be more mature and classy in most circumstances - so you should only put traditional ornaments on it. Colored trees are more laid-back and usually work with new families - these should have an excessive amount of decoration.

I used to like colored much more than white lights; but, me and my old self are becoming less fond of random eye-catchers!

Anyways, I like White lights, really looks nice and less of an eyesore than colors. Of course, Colors, if done well, can look better than Whites. But you only see that in those really rich nieghborhoods were they spend all day doing their huge lawns and stuff. Went to one of those last year, was crazily well done.

When I was a kid, I'd get annoyed when my mom went with white lights, but I also prefer them now.

Multiple colored lights are much better than these all blue lights and all green lights I keep seeing, though. That doesn't look right.

I find that christmas lights are a waste of money if you put them on your house seeing as probably only like the same people are going see

Color of course. You see most color as being white all the time, like when the sun shines. Well, that's more of a yellowish tone, but that's the lightest color and the one closest to light that I can imagine. What other time of year do you get to see colored lights? Maybe the 4th of July, but those probably wouldn't be considered lights in the strictest sense. I always try to have colored lights around my area.

Colored lights often look tacky; way too many colors having an orgy together on a tree, which I don't think looks good.

I like all white lights, but really, any color as long as all the lights are the same color, looks just fine. As long as it's not a mess of every color imaginable.
