He's had a terrible TV show starring an insane wrestler, had his face plastered on every kind of product from breakfast cereal to back-to-school stationary, he's starred in a series of awful PC edutainment games, he was given away to a crummy developer to try and sell the cd-i, recently every developer has had a turn making some kind of forgettable sports game with him in it.

I don't think it is that big of a deal. Just Dance my be a 'casual' game but it isn't a bad game. It's not what you or I may enjoy playing regularly but casual =/= bad game. I don't see this hindering any of the regular Mario games at all so more power to them as long as they keep it real.

I know, it's just the Just Dance series is made by Ubisoft, and I'm a little prejudiced to dislike anything they put out.

You have to admit the actual Mario segement is awkward though right?

I'll give you it is a bit weird. Not that big of a Mario fan myself actually. You don't like Ubisoft? I enjoy their Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil games. Assassin's Creed is cool as well but it's not my cup of tea.

I should clarify that I like the real Rayman games, not the spin off games.

I enjoyed Rayman as a kid as well, Assasin's Creed draws a crowd, but it's not my thing and Ubi has started to realease a new one every year, Raving Rabid are too numerous, their overly large and equally terrible games that inspire young girls, their PETZ series, too many Tom Clancy games, and their rushed licensed crap (not really out of the ordinary).

They have had good games, but their strategy of making as many games as possible and making them systme launch titles really clogs up the market.

Link actually doesn't seem to get whored out that much. Outside of those dreadful CDi games, Link has really only appeared in fighting games that showed off his swordsman skills. Soul Calibur 2 and Super Smash Bros. are good examples of this.
