I've been trying different things to get my file to upload into the portal, because I keep getting that error message. Used to be I just had to switch browsers, but Chrome, Firefox, and IE (yes, I was that desperate) all said the same thing.
The question is, what are the true limits of what can be submitted?
I have tried:
- 44.1 Hz Stereo
- 32 and 16 bit
- 192 and 128 kbps CBR
- Exporting with and without markers and metadata
I will try a Variable Bit Rate next.
Please help me, anyone who has knowledge on this situation.

The system's just a bit finicky. A lot of people have had similar problems, but if you keep trying, it'll work eventually.
(For what it's worth, I usually export at 320kbps CBR, 44.1k sample rate, stereo mp3, and I've never had any problems with uploading the file to the Audio Portal.)

I always use 256kbps, used 192kbps also, had no problems either.

It seems to switch from time to time... at random points throughout the year, the audio portal won't let me submit things for days at a time, then I wait a bit and it works... very strange mystery, it is...

If you had 32 and 16 bit, you had a wav file. I'm no expert on this, but the system probably only accepts MP3s... May be a no brainer, but you are submitting mp3 files right?

Mp3 invalid.
Also, Changing it to vbr worked. Although, only on High Quality. Not on Very High.

It's probably the upload system being picky. You could try exporting it as a wav or something then converting it to mp3 with a third-party program and see if that works.
