You mean the pressure sensitivity? what's wrong with it exactly?
I know quite a few people who started with a Bamboo, it's a solid little tablet. However, if you're strongly considering making an invested hobby out of your digital work, I recommend you skip the Bamboo and go straight for an Intuos 4. It's a little more expensive, but many professionals swear by it. I have one myself and it's spoiled me to the point where using anything less gets irritating.
i have to agree, it you want to test the water, get something cheap and cheerful... just to play around with, get the hang of the idea of how it feels and reacts, also how you adapt to it, how you draw/colour things differently... I have just got my hands on a massive tablet, and i'm having to relearn how to use it again, however its a huge investment if you are unsure about your future with the hardware...
getting one of the main brands is a must as they always have up-to-date patches and downloads for the ever upgrading systems we have.

not really... its not the size of the tablet... its how good you are at using it...
Lets try to keep on topic with the OP, but just to answer you question, its a Intuos 4 Large

I've personally got a Bamboo Fun Small, and since art is just a hobby for me (I don't plan on going anywhere with it), it's just right for my needs.
