I know this thread's been done numerous times, but most of the time people merely mistake old with rare, so here's a nice little site where you can check up on the rarity of your games. Anyways, here's mine:

NES:
Bonk's Adventure

SNES:
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Mega Man 7

PS1:
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Mega Man Legends 2
Tomba!

The only really rare game on that list that I have is Terranigma, which I haven't been able to find for years, and I'm considering whether I may have left it behind while moving house or such. Whenever I wish to play it I end up having to emulate it considering despite having the game I have no SNES, however I don't mind at all and I prefer games while sitting up more, I tend to focus that bit better. That website ranks Terranigma's English version at 150USD (and supposedly back in October it peaked at 250), making it the kind of thing that would definitely be helpful to have laying around, however across the internet most of the prices I see are considerably lower, possibly due to the fact that the game was actually released in the UK, whereas in the US it never saw release.

Yes, yes it does. Quite sad really that such a wondrous system was never given the chance due to the release of the playstation shortly after. What I am about to say, is and will always be debated by gamers, but my stance is that the Sega Dreamcast crushed the original Playstation. Again, that is just my opinion.

As for the topic at hand, the only rare game I have is one that I doubt anyone has ever heard of. Dragonseeds. Look into it, if you are interested. By my opinion, an absolutely fantastic game.

Not that rare. They usually go for 30-40$ per system, unless it's fully boxed and in great condition. Still a great system though. I plan on picking up one for nostalgias sake soon and popping in some Shenmue and Jet Grind Radio

Personally, I don't have any rare video games, but I still own a DreamCast with some demos and other stuff. The only real game I have for it is a fishing game.

Shenmue, Shenmue II, and Jet Grind Radio were in my opinion, the best games for the system. Aside from a few classics such as Crazy Taxi and what not, but they go without saying.

I have a few rare games.

- EarthBound (Super Nintendo)
- The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time/Master quest (GameCube)
- The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition (GameCube)

I'm not sure if these next ones are rare.

- The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time (Gold Cart)
- Mother 1+2 (Game Boy Advance) (Japan Only)
- Game & Watch Collection (Nintendo DS)

Well, I'd say all ps1 can be considered rare, now, so I'll post them all.

Tomba!
Bushido Blade 2
Strider 2
Heart of Darkness
Tekken 3
Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey
RPG Maker
Wild 9
Spyro the Dragon
Tenchu 2
the Arc the Lad trilogy box set
a bunch of PS1 demo discs

The same goes for N64

Micshief Makers
Perfect Dark
Kirby 64
Mace: the Dark Age
Mario 64
Pilot Wings
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask

And for PS2, all I can think of is Oni.

For X Box, I have Enclave.

I think I'm forgetting at least one game.

I have that as well. Didn't know it went for that much.

I've occasionally seen copies of it at Gamestops for 40$. Nowadays, I'm fairly certain you can get the four included games on the Wii's Virtual Console service for a lesser price altogether (about 30US dollars?) Either way, for getting me into the series all those years ago, I still treasure it as my favorite Gamecube game even today. Just wish that Ocarina of Time had MasterQuest in as well.

I don't find worth in a game from its rarity. I collect games, but not for the sake of having games with titles that other gamers may not have heard of. With how knowledgeable this current generation of gamers is of retro gaming, nowadays, a game that nobody's heard of is usually obscure because it's a forgettable, crappy game. Particularly, I take pride in owning the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro Trilogies on PS1, every main game of the Ratchet and Clank series, Pikmin 2 took me ages to find (Damn there never being a North American Wii-rerelease!), every main Resident Evil title, including many of the spinoffs, and Hey You, Pikachu!, complete with the old microphone. :P

The only moderately old games I'm still actively looking for are:

-Shadow of the Colossus (with all that's been said about this game, do I need to provide an explanation?)
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (I've heard that the game was awful in terms of story and characters, but was fantastic gameplay-wise for the series)
-Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (due to lack of Dreamcast, guess I'll have to go for the special addition versions on Gamecube. Not complaining)

I usually frequent the VG and collaboration Forums. If you find me anywhere else, I'm lost and can't find my way back.

War of the Monsters and Metal Arms. Both for the PS2. I probably have a couple rare PS1 games, but I forgot what I did with them all.
