any tips for space art pic

I have this new piece of art and I don't want post it until I can get it to its absolute best. Any tips for me to improve on this?

Maybe you can help us out on what it is. I am not quite sure what I am looking at. Is it fire vs water? Heaven & Hell? To me it looks like you put a black layer over stock images and used the eraser on it. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

STARS, don't forget to put lots of them in. i make that mistake all the time myself. (different sizes, etc.....)

From looking at the sun, it seems as though you've used Photoshop's "clouds" filter. I did this too. Let me give you a tip: don't use them. I know it looks a bit neat, but to people who have used photoshop for a while or seen lots of art made with photoshop, the cloud filters just look kind of ugly and cliche.

Overall, it seems as though you could blend the 2 corners together better, and perhaps add some stars? Right now it looks like 2 blobs in separate corners with a big black blob dividing the two.
