however... the wacom bamboo medium tablet i was going to get is out of stock from the place he was going to buy it... so he wanted to know if i wanted a different one or to try somewhere else...
i know we have had these sorts of threads before about what's the best one and what not, but my current tablet is tiny, doesn't want to update to windows 7 *so no pressure sensitivity* and it rather worn out now due to the fact i press rather hard without knowing i am any more.
what do you think would be the best choice for someone like myself?...
i do art as a hobby, its a hobby iv done since i can remember picking up a pencil, i am no way an expert or master at using tablets but want to become better... i spent most my digital drawing life using a mouse which sucks compared to the pen and pad option i now use.
budget is around £100-150 i think... possibly more if i can combine it with christmas.
your thoughts?
If you do combine it with Christmas Id say go with a wacom intuos4 small at the least. If that's still too much go with another bamboo :D. Though I know nothing of any other tablets because I'm relatively new to them intuos4 medium to be exact.
Art is vast as Love is deep, Trying to Explain the two is like trying to discover everything there is about the ocean.

I was thinking in buy a tablet for myself, im also new in this.
But researching a bit I found the Bamboo Create Medium, it looks great! nice size and it has a lot of functions, someone try this tablet?
Mmm, yeah, if you're looking basically on a price range, the Intuos 4 might be a bit outside your budget. The small alone is $229 USD.
Well, I have an intuos3, A5 size, which is, I guess, the medium size. It's an older model and probably more in your price-range, and it's small enough to fit in most bags, but large enough to do more detailed work. Actually, I find this model to be the best fit for me.
thanks all for your input... it seems a bit of haggling has got me a...

How the hell did you manage to get a $470 USD tablet into your price range?

I find the large to be rather inconvenient actually. And isn't that like.. 4 times your budget? :D
Not that I'm criticizing, you should take what fits you best.

Nice haggling skills, there. Large takes some getting used to, though, so get ready for a bit of a transitional period (and remeber to let us know how it turns out). I'm curious as to who you managed to rip off, but whatevs.
