Hey there NGers, out of curiousity I'm just wondering how many of you are employed and how many are penniless hippies. If you are employed, what do you do?
Me? I provide IT support for businesses and like almost everyone these days I don't get paid nearly enough for it, though I'm just thankful to have a job at all. Good times.

I work a register and occasionally a deli. I get discounted cigarettes. It's a job.

I was a waiter, but I recently was laid off.
Shame too. I made good money with that gig.

I'm stuck in a ring of unemployment.
-I can't get a job because I need transportation, and my lazy parents refuse to take me anywhere unless it's beneficial to me (School and church according to them).
-My parents are also ridiculously sheltering and detest the idea of me taking public transportation, so the only way I could get to my job would be by getting a car, to which they refuse to help me pay for.
-The only way for me to make enough money for a car is to get a job.

I'm a hobo. I use other people's laptops in Starbucks to get online. I share this message with other hobos. We download hardcore cat porn on the laptops and then end up getting those people fired. Hobos, ruining the economy one click at a time.

Yes, I work in a Pharmacy, but I'm quitting my job in two days, as I'm moving into another country. Been working there for a year and a half, and I'll probably miss my co-workers.
But when I'll move, I'll be able to work on my true vocation: writing.

No, I'm 18 and have never had a job. I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, there's almost no jobs here and any that open are quickly filled up. Any jobs out of town would cost a lot of gas.

I've been looking for a sidejob for some time now, but no luck so far. Sadly, I haven't been able to find many job offers that suit me. For the ones that do appeal to me I'll often need diplomas that I don't have, the work load will be too much to have next to my studies or the hours are just terrible.
Lastly, there's sometimes the irony that they demand experience, but I can't get any experience in that particular type of job because they don't want me anywhere for the reason that I don't have any experience. In other words, how can I get any experience in that type of job if everybody demands previous experience? X|

I've worked at Culver's in the past and have helped with catering at dinner parties. I occasionally do odd jobs for my dad's company, but I would consider myself as currently unemployed.

I work with children who have Autism. It's a pretty easy job and it's pretty fun most of the time. I enjoy it.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances

My father was a pirate, my mother was a ninja. Their conceiving of me was truly the most awkward enticing kinky sex ever made. It is said that when the had sex the world stood still. Now I'm torn on deciding which family business I should undertake, they seem to hate my fascination with robots. I'm not sure why.

I'm currently a waiter. I love getting cash money every day and the ability to get a bunch of free food is a great aspect.
As far as dealing with people, that's a whole different story. It really depends on the restaurant you work at, though. Outback is no longer known as being the place to go for prime choice steaks. The geniuses at OSI headquarters think marketing $10 shitty sirloins is a great idea.
In regards to overall company revenue, yes it is. Not so much with the waitstaff, however. Getting your white trash and equally as trashy blacks late at night gets old REAL quick.
