I just kind of voted depending on the amount of effort that was put into it ,I don't really have to like all of the content but the least I can give is a respect for the time they've worked on it. I usually do it by 2-5 but 0-1 on really terrible ones ...
How those generic girly dress up games manage to barely pass with something like a 2.00 there is odd because they're almost identicle beside the themes.

I wish I had more blams. I've voted on a 0-1 on a ton of flash but they almost always pass. Me getting to 100 blams will a huge achievement.

I generally find that lots of websites like to upload games that lack any interesting or anything worth playing more than once. Quite frankly, anything game that passes is most likely a glorified advertisement!

And movies, I hate it when people submit movie files. Threads like this make me angry. We don't want to become a sidekick to youtube! And yet people try and let movies pass, just so they can wave around their shiny new badge and have a biased (AND EVEN MORE EFFECTIVE) vote. I even saw stolen video files be submitted once.

I tend to not B/P very much since I never fell like the portal is benefiting form me supervising it.

The only way that I think we can solve this problem(At least, temporarily anyway) is by convincing the admins to raise the minimum score necessary for a flash submission to pass judgment. Currently, it is 1.60/5.00. I think we should raise that score to 2.00/5.00. It may seem harsh, but I think it'll work for a while.

Besides, 1.60/5.00 is way too lenient to flash submissions that are truly terrible.

This site doesn't need two second "test" animationsa people submit because they didn't think to make a public link to their work in the Dumping grounds. We don't need Kitty Krew flash that goes out of it's way to be a waste of space, especially when that particular flash isn't funny and is just random pictures uploaded into flash.

I like spam, and I like serious submissions. The only thing I have a problem with is stolen submissions, but other than that I believe everything has a chance. Just because an author didn't work as hard as another or put in extra effort doesn't mean they don't deserve a five. Common courtesy should apply everywhere, including even useless things that do not relate to reality at all.

Common courtesy cna be given even withotu given away stupily high scores. Write a damn review and be courteous by telling the author what you liek about their flash, and tellnig them how to improve.

I think casual users are more honest over all we don't give a crap about stats we are just looking for a laff or killing time. a flash has to be something special to earn our rating.

In my humble opinion, I think this site does need two second test animations, because the authors could possibly be submitting them for the sake of future reference. You seem to be far too ignorant when it comes to petty things like the flash portal. Also I think we do need the Kitty Krew and what they have to offer (which is much nowadays, unfortunately). Spam submissions are part of internet & flash culture, they are not a waste of space and they are very important. If it wasn't for all the spam submissions in the past, some statwhores would not be where they are to day. All of AfroUnderscoreStud's flashes were really helpful to statwhores because they could get tons of B/P points from simple and entertaining flashes.

Now I think you're truly retarded. Two second test animations aren't even visible to the human eye sometimes, because most of the time it may be random scribbling on the stage which rapidly appear and disappear at a frame rate of 120. Also, if the author really wanted it for future reference, then he'd use the dumping grounds because they are in no risk of getting blammed there, unlike the Portal. That or the NG Mag's Alpha section, which was specifically designed for that purpose but was scrapped until the future redesign.

I believe an author can receive better and more specific feedback through what the score is. Why? Because the score represents the foundation of the flash. Low score overall, must be a bad flash. High score overall, must be a good flash.

my votes are fair if i only judge according to the quailities of flashes, and not the authors' reputation or what crews they belong to. there is nothing to stop me from giving 5's whenever i think a particular submission deserves to stay and 0's if i think it should not pass, (e.g. spam).

What I'm reading here is that you think a flash is perfect in it's own little way, and I can agree with that. What you are implying however, is that excluding that one aspect of perfection, the flash has flaws. Therefore, you contradict yourself by saying you think all flash is perfect, yet not in every way. Say each flash has 4 aspects to it. You give full 100/100 to one aspect, and that is it's perfection, yet the other aspects that contribute to the overall quality of the flash aren't perfect, therefore, the flash is not perfect, just one aspect of it.

This may be terrible of me, but I usually don't watch or play like 90% of the things I vote on. I instead look at the quality of the load up screen, the topic of the movie/game, and if it's from another site or not, then vote based on looking at all of that.
