I've made a few videos using music from the AP and made somethings that border the line between machinima and music video and uploaded them to Youtube. I didn't ask permission, but I gave full credits and links for all the songs I used. Have I done it wrong? I know something similar happened with one of my songs recently. But I was happy about! I made a film credit for someone's animation school project. I felt good that day. But I digress; would it be ok if I made more videos with NG music as long as I give credit or should I stop and ask permission first next time?

As long as you give credit and aren't making any money, it's perfectly fine. It'd be nice to let the artists know that you're using their songs, though.

i randomly find my tracks on youtube...it's not a big deal usually i just wish i knew it was happening. you should let the musician know if you're planning on using their music, it's common courtesy :)

Even when you're not using their tracks for profit, it's a matter of courtesy at the very least to ask people first if you can use their music.

Well you'd be making money using work that isn't your own and you haven't gotten permission for. That wouldn't be acceptable at all.

As long as no profit is made and you credit the artist, then you have all the right to do so under the standard Creative commons license used here on Newgrounds, but I do suggest giving the artists a heads up before uploading.

YouTube will put your video in review and ask you for written documentation of permission from the authors involved with the content of your video.

I personally wouldnt mind much if someone would make 'some money from the ehm.. service..
But always credit the creators. If you dont then thats just really wrong.
Like i've always been afraid people would use my music putting their own name on it etc, that would really frustrate me to no end. I've been warned for being to trusting ;(
