System restore problems

hey guys im not sure if this is the right place to post this but i am desperate for help. a few hours ago i got a virus and it seemed bad because it deleted all my files and folders and stuff, it said it was a "system restore" but it wasnt, i did a virus scan and got rid of it without any hastles. when i logged on again all of my stuff was still missing so i did a system restore and set my computer back to yesterday, it all worked well and my wall paper and programs were restored etc. when i went to "show hidden files and folders" box but now my only problem is that since they were hidden they arent fully coloured, they are nearly transparent but they are still there and they work but i just want to know how to make them fully visible again.

That's normal. They're hidden after all. Also, wrong forum but nevermind.
