Brandon McCartney (born August 17, 1989), known by his stage name Lil B or "The BasedGod", is a rapper from Berkeley, California. He has recorded both solo and with the Pack. In addition, Lil B is noted for his extensive use of social media Web sites such as MySpace and Twitter to build an online following.

When Lil B titled his newest album I'm Gay he received several death threats. Although he is heterosexual, he says the title is a message of support to the LGBT community. Referring to the alternative definition of gay, he says he is gay because he is happy.

nobody appreciates good music like this nowadays. i went to a rave a few months ago and he was there and his stage was pretty much empty.

Eh. We wouldn't be talking about him if he wasn't gay. He's ok, I guess. I honestly don't see the big deal with a gay guy rapping. Seem almost gimmiky in a way. Something that people urging other people to see how "tolerant" they are can latch on to.

I find lil B to be the worst rapper alive to this very day. I thought fucking Gucci Mane was bad but when I heard Lil B I thought it was a fucking joke. Seriously? Is it a joke? His music sounds worse then that new metallica album Lulu and thats saying a lot. Cuz lulu sucked dick. But Lil B is the cumdumpster of the music scene to me.
